This was one of the only NES games I "beat" as a kid. I completely forgot about the trophy at the end! There was another monster truck game for the game boy and I played the hell out of that too. I loved cars and monster trucks.
One of my favorite Nes games growing up!! It was best tho if you had a group of gamers, and played 1v1 or even like a 2 player team where you would alternate players, depending on which ralleys they preferred! 🚜🏁
I miss the days when the things I thought about the most were Bigfoot (& Grave Digger), Hulk Hogan, Nintendo, Crystal Pepsi, MC Hammer (& Vanilla Ice), Micro Machines, etc.
When I got this game as a kid, I was so excited. Monster Trucks were one of my favorite things when I was little and here was a video game about BIGFOOT, greatest Monster Truck of them all. Oh boy was I disappointed. It hit me nearly as hard as Ghostbusters. And then there was Back to the Future Part II & III... You know, I just realized that it's amazing I became a gamer at all.
Those minifigures on top of Bigfoot are KC Hi-lights light covers. He was sponsored by them in the 80's, their logo is a yellow happy face and in the 80's covers on your light bar for them were popular. :)
What a pleasant surprise to find while looking for an avgn vid about bigfoot. It's witty... it's more than a play-through... it's funny, and any true gamer knows that the advantage was indeed the best/only way to play this. Apart from dressing up like the champion, I'd say you nailed this one pretty hard, Mr. Dave. Kudos to you, Sir. Your self-deprecating attitude, modest production budget, and unhinged civility reminds me of another good reviewer; colonel fancy. I would enjoy seeing a review-off... a battle to see who is more neurotic. Lol good vid!
This had everything, from Monster Trucks to Cowboys, actually... it didn't have 'that much', but what you did with Bigfoot was magical. Awesome work man.

This was one of the first games me & my little brother played together against one another. We made it a challenge to NOT upgrade our trucks to see who could make it to the end
The saw weapon kinda reminded me of Speed Racer's tree cutter blades that come out of the front of the Mach-5 to cut down trees or tall grass blocking his path during a race or chase scene in the 1960s anime series.
Actually I love the top down races it's the side view races I hate there so unforgiving. And for a ford truck big foot sure breaks down fast in those side view races plus you got to know when to shift gears which is a pain in the ass.
My only problem with this game is I would wear out Dpads on controllers a lot with the rocking back and forth, I easily ruined 3 controllers with this game. I only play it once in a while now, and since I learned how to shift my controllers are holding up much better. I liked this game and I liked seeing how quick I could bankrupt trucks.

This game was meant to be played with 2 player. My best bud and me killed endless hours on this game, pedal to the metal, nitrous running high, oh hell I hit a stupid jackass now a plug in the gas.

Download Monster Truck Destruction you get it all good epic music...epic 3D graphics...trucks that or NOT Monster Jam which honestly grave Digger vs BigFoot from 1992 would've been epic but still you are completely in control! good g*d i hate how people hold controllers in these videos, i know they want their face on camera as much as possible, but jesus christ can't you just pull the camera back on occassion and play like a normal human being? (and not to rank on this particular vid but everyone seems to do it, and its especially stupid when using the nes advantage) on the plus side, nice to see someone understands how to play this game
deathcrustpunk I think it has to do with that most people do that during filming, they aren't playing the game at the moment. The gameplay is recorded in production, then they make the script, then they film. So why change the camera to make it look like you are playing with a controller that you are gonna fake it with.
I truly enjoyed this game, its a fun part of my childhood. Flawed, fun, upgrading..... I still enjoy those kind of games.

Only thing I remember from this game, is how sore my fingers got from playing this game. As some events require insane button mashing to win.
I believe this game is what I used to convince my parents to get me the joystick controller with the adjustable turbo buttons!
