Wasn’t there a lady or someone who got a guy to do some ultrasound thingy showing 3 large dark areas and suggested they were buried under a newly built concrete carpark? I think they dismissed this theory, but I always thought they should have dug it up just to find out either way.
@moonstar9101 yes, ground penetrating radar did pick up 3 areas of ground disturbance underneath a newly built carpark. However, police dismissed the findings saying that if the disturbances were graves, bones would have surfaced during the construction of the carpark. Still, they should have dug it up to check anyway, don’t you think?
As a true crime buff I know I don't do things like that until I know it's okay. I won't touch some stuff on the side of the road if it gets my neck hairs going
Well obviously they had no idea what they had found... Didn't know it WAS a crime scene. Plus this was 1992... Totally different times... Different forensics etc. But yea my heart breaks for them. I am sure they felt horrible guilt but it's not their fault. It's just a sad set of circumstances.

This happened when I was in college, and I had no idea it happened until very much later. How many of us had close calls with violent people and had no idea? Everything really is chaos.
Agree but I do wonder how the “true crime” genre on TH-cam can last? Granted crimes are committed every day but with the growing amount of content creators entering this genre and putting out content daily - I think it will be a very difficult game to keep up on

This isn’t the first time I’ve heard this story, but it always baffles me no matter how many times I’ve heard or read about it. My heart goes out to these women and their friends and families.
Ugh this story has always gotten to me... I graduated the same year... They disappeared the day before my 18th birthday... I will never forget this one. So so distributing and still no answers to this day. I pray for justice to be served one day somehow someway.

Currently live in Illinois, but I've lived in Missouri and actually had playdates with Shawn Hornbeck(he's a few years older than me, but our moms had met each other somehow and were friends). I actually had forgotten Shawn over the years since he was abducted after we moved back to Illinois and my mom didn't want to scare me so young. But when his being found alive made the news, she told me about it all and since then I've been very focused on true crime in general. So much can and does happen in the heartland.
I live in Missouri and l was listening to the breaking news they found Shawn Ben and a baby girl a woman happen to see a sign saying it's a girl .she knocked on the door saying her car broke down mom recovered and the baby was found everyone was saying the Missouri miracle usually don't have a good ending

The most scariest thing about disappearances, it's the fact that somewhere out there someone knows something and they wouldn't talk. People don't just vanish.
I love when multiple folks I subscribe to cover the same topic/case. I learn a bit more and get different perspectives each time. This happened in my service area, but I was too young back then to really be impacted by it. 😅

It is believed by some, my Grandpa was one of them, the three women were buried in a rock pile in a old quarry. These old quarries can be found all around some are in use and some are abandoned. Some believe that the women were used in the concrete to make the fondation of the parking garage for COX Hospital. Three places were found using ground-penetrating radar that could be bodies, but with no clear evidence, the garage not being built till a year later, and cost going to be to high,any plans to excavate the garage were canceled.
People leave out that important fact, that it was not built for 11 months after they disappeared. What do they think the killers did with the bodies until the parking garage was poured? People hear a goofy theory and run with it. I swear people are brainless.
It’s 3:50am on New Years Day 2024. Since having a baby 8 months ago, tonight is the first time I’ve been able to have time to myself and I chose to spend it doing crafts and catching up on your videos. Whenever I’m able to take some time for myself I always choose your videos, whether they’re new or ones I rewatch. Just wanted to thank you for all the work you do to create amazing content that I’ve been watching for 10 years now. You’re the best. Rob Mob for life ❤

This was the first story on "48 Hours." I watched it and it made an impression on me. I always wondered if they were found and I missed it. It's sad nothing has been found. I keep coming back to it occasionally, but it's hard to believe that literally nothing has been learned.
