The goldstar got discounted pretty heavily and some people got their fingers burnt on resale value. This bike needs to be priced the same as the bear right from the off to sell. Personally the scrambler style bikes don't appeal but this is no worse than any of the rest of them but isn't a serious off road bike with the low slung exhaust etc..
The GoldStar was introduced at £6500 + and now is selling at under 5 grand and as this scrambler is only slightly tweaked how will BSA sell it if its over 5 grand. If it is then my advice would be wait a year and it will be at GoldStar prices. This is the BSA way.
Not sure on the BSA 65 for me but a GB500 I would look at, I don't know if you are as old as me But did love the XBR 500 but it was a bit unreliable so got rid of it after 2k miles, have been looking at the scram for my old geezer needs!!
A great looking bike and I wish BSA every success, however as someone who loves RE and BSA a single, 5 speed, no centre stand bike just does not compete with the bear even if the price is the same. I'm also considering the 440 now that still IMO out shines the BSA 😮
I think they will have to price the B65 the same or close to the Gold Star. They need to build trust that they won’t do what they did with the price of the Gold Star, i.e. destroying the residual value over night.
Scramblers are just classic retro adventure bikes without the weight and huge size. For me that’s a sweet spot. I do think it’s a shame that the new BSA’s are still reliant on a Rotax engine though.
It needs to be less than 6k if it wants to complete with the RE Bear 650.
The adiator guard on the B65 looks like the one on my old CX500 custom, it is a mish mash of styles unlike the Bear 650 which is more purposeful.
Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh! But still waiting for BSA to establish itself in the US and have only been waiting over 2 years!

RE intercepted 750 spotted in India with dual disc brakes.
Super meteor 850 please 😂
They need to be priced lower than the bear 650. The bear 650 will be a big seller and BSA need to steal market share away from the bear.
It's unique as a mid-size scrambler because it's a single.

Good looking bike but is it well built, time will tell. Let’s hope so 👍

Your spot on paying 7 grand and then seeing it sold at 5 grand and less is beyond stupid if your trying to grow the brand.

I'm not sure the BSA B65 will be able to compete with the RE Bear 650... not in the States anyway.
😮
Just another good looking motorcycle not available in Canada,
You can not get the BSA Motorcycles in The Netherlands. There are still no BSA dealers in The Netherlands.
