Thanks for making an awesome video of my mod! Fun fact: the walk at 1:37 was so wonky because i didn't actually have a controller at the time. I had to use my phone as a controller and let me tell you it wasn't easy to control the player that way haha! And yeah, my brother (cheechas) is making music for the second mission too.
@XVII_RONIN thanks haha. Yeah you can emulate an Xbox 360 controller with your phone but it's really hard to play like that, I just had no other choice lol. But now I have a controller so no problems with that anymore

From posting simple gameplay with no commentary to pumping out fully fleshed out showcases and video essays with unique and high quality editing is amazing to see! This mod was soo good and I’m glad you made a video on it. I felt the exact same way you did Ronin. W video and love your commentary/retrospective videos it’s nice and interesting.
8:28 That has always been possible with at least the Ghost and Spectre (think it applies to Wraith and Revenant too). I think 343 removed it in Halo 4, because they hate fun.

I think mt favorite mods have to be by DrearyMussell5. They all the campaigns have replaced Master Chief with a Marine, ODST, or Army Trooper. With decreased health and extra missions tacked onto the end that show case cut/added weapons and enemies. Where it really gets interesting is with his Halo Reach: Infantry mod, where the missions don’t follow the main game, but have individual stories for each mission. It (in my opinion) really captures the helplessness of the battle. Watching your squad mates fall around you, or barely making it to the end by yourself. The Mythic overhaul mods are excellent too
Considering KYOT made a detailed showcase of this exact mod over a year ago, with over 20,000 people having already visited the mod download page, people have already played this a long time ago. Lol
Having a lot of modding experience myself I wanted to say that I feel like you kind of over hyped this. I mean I didn't check it out myself so I can't speak on it to much, but from what you showcased in this video it doesn't seem all the impressive. The coolest things were the Ice Warthog and the Crawling Sentinels. Everything else wouldn't be that hard to make, especially given that it's from all the way back on Halo CE. If you think that this mod feels like it was created by real developers then I know of several you should check out. Not from Halo CE, mostly Halo 2, but they are vastly more impressive. That's just my opinion however, either way I liked the video

If you want familiar and distant, I highly recommend playing Halo Spv3 Campaign mod for CE if u haven't yet- a lot of fun playing CE and learning things from scratch again. Weird feeling tbh but a welcome one Bonus missions/Mission areas, bonus weapons and enemies, abilities, etc. And the flood got a buff oml
Spv3 ain't good imo. All the additions don't really mesh well with Halo's gameplay and level design. It just throws tons and tons of stuff at the wall and hopes it sticks. Quantity over quality. Doesn't help that the lead creator is a massive douche, either
spv3 is a mess. play the silent cartographer evolved mod instead. same assets but its the original team that created them before they all quit. the sandbox balance is significantly better and the mission is paced well.
@ welp idk the details maybe u right maybe u wrong- I just know the game rocks The atmosphere additions, the music and extras, to me felt like the closest thing to original halo vibes and extended lore that I’ve ever seen It being featured on CE as a mod overhaul just hits different All that extra content for CE, after reading “the flood” novel and seeing that there actually an ‘alpha base” in-game with ODST’s and etc, makes it jaw dropping to me I had more fun playing single player no internet on Spv3 than all of infinite. Matter of fact I’ve played it’s campaign more than HI and it’s multiplayer Jafet meza’s contributions with his music speaks more volume than most of 343’s music and that’s the kind of stuff that catches my attention

altis makes really bloody good mods, my all time favourite of his will always be bigass. Played that map to death in custom edition
