- You have finally got an easy ball during the point...don't let your opponents back in the point and FINISH IT off!
The irony of the thumbnail is that the best way to finish the point is with a controlled, accurate shot with a bit of slice into the spaces. It is not about hitting as hard as you can!

Good point! Usually find it easier planning when on my own, but definitely get your point. The One to One course I am teaching a student and I've got positive feedback, so I will consider it for sure!

Nice video Sandy. What i see far too often is players making an unforced error off an easy shot because they have too much time to think. Hitting a ball into the gap would be my preference. But i would like the second bounce to be in the gap instead of the first bounce.
Agreed! Too much time and too many options! Hopefully we can get both bounces in the gap ;)
I find dropshots very effective in padel because you often find yourself close to the net and the ball doesn't bounce very high on most padel surfaces. Here are my five drop shot tips: 1. Practice them, both outside of matches and during warm up (even if it can annoy your opponent). 2. Only hit them when you are close to the net (often there is time to take two quick steps towards the net on a soft ball. 3. Quite often one of the two opponents is a little slower than his/her partner. Target that player. 4. Never hit a drop shot on a high ball (as explained in Sandy's video). 5. Stop trying if your touch isn't good enough and you lose too many points. Edit: Just noticed there was a video on dropshots a few weeks earlier!
Good tips, I would add to that. Only hit a dropshot if you are volleying! (there are times when it might be ok if it bounces first but not usually)

Sandy is there some footage of you playing? what side are you? i really love the left but i'm only 5'8. So is partner though so i don't lose hope. Also Coki Nieto is 5'9 and on the WPT so it cant be that bad right? haha

I Sandy, I'm an intermediate player and I'm thinking in switching my grip as I saw that's what players do when the move up their game, but I'm a bit confused which shots I should change and which ones not, can you tell me which grip you use in the forehand, backhand, right volley, left volley, etc. I really need your help.

Thanks Sandy, great video as possible. Which "aggressive overhead shot" would you recommend to be good at first? My bandeja is ok, but for agressive shots I usually go for a smash which today is not good enough and almost always gives a good opponent an opportunity to turn the point around. Do you think it's better to focus on doing it better or learn another shot, for example the vibra?
I would learn to increase the speed of your bandeja to a point that is starts being really effective and then learn the Vibora as the more aggressive option...

The most effective winner is knocking it out of the court which was not mentioned.
Unless you are close to the net on these types of balls it is not an easy shot to hit it down and out...

Bottom line is that there are no easy balls ! just finish the point, and be careful because there is always a chance that the opponents get back
in the point again. Especially against good defenders ....
