Founded in 2014, Brooklyn Duo has quickly established itself as one of today’s most successful classical crossover ensembles. thank you for this,,,, I have been mourning the loss of a friend so dear to me he was a father to me... for 21 years. this came to me yesterday and I totally have listened to it like 50 times... most while writing a goodbye letter to him like it was suggested online while I was looking for help because I knew I had to find a way to heal. I was finally able to say goodbye today with the help of one of my daughters and repeating this song over and over that you were playing. I play electric distortion guitar and acoustic in Rock bands, Latin percussion too... but cello is a sexy as hell sounding instrument.
What I love most about what you guys do is the fact you highlight just how actually amazing some of the melodies etc in modern music are. It's easy for old fart music fans to get jaded on new sounds but putting it into another context/instrumental arrangement really highlights how good some of this stuff is. Your cover of Sia's Elastic Heart is a great example of that.
