There will never be another Fred Swann; there will never be another "Hour of Power" and there will never be another Dr. Schuller. Sad that those days are gone. I miss them so much.
In case anyone is wondering,,those oblong items infront of the pedal board are Expression Shoes" to give EXPRESSION to he instrument. Some artists actually use them.I remember Virgil Fox playing that on Hour of Power in the old church also years back.
Good one, David! You don't remember me, but I was the doofus who showed up 3 hours early in Tupelo when you and Virgil drove up. It was the first time (of 2) that I got to see him play in person.
Very much appreciate the talent of organist & composer. Had I been at this service, I'd have never heard another thing after it ws over. I would have foundthe volume intollerable!
Great piece, but not so great hairpiece. Too bad they didn’t have those nice portable digital recorders that could’ve been used here. That would’ve been quite a recording!
