In this video, legendary American organist, choirmaster and church musician Frederick Swann gives an accounting of his background, training and experience as a traditional church musician, serving some of the most noteworthy and landmark religious venues in America, including The Riverside Church in New York and the Crystal Cathedral in southern California. A majority of the video is devoted to masterclasses with Frederick Swann, where he addresses the unique challenges and techniques of adapting oratorio and vocal accompaniments at the pipe organ console.
