Finally, I’ve seen too many under deck storage possibilities but rarely does someone make them functional
They nailed this one!!! Love it.
It's very funcional
Look all this goes to make a comfortable critter nest and unsustainable long span drawer for heavier stuffs
@@johnye4433 Cleaver design and it is a conversation starter, but most of us just put on a door as it is a heck of a lot cheaper than those rails. Not worth the expense for most of us.

Good morning, April! Wow! Talk about a home being "decked out!" This is a great addition to your deck. Not only can you store your outdoor tools, but you can have a nice, dark, quiet, out of the way place to nap without people bothering you!😂😂 Excellent project! Have a great week!

Love the idea of the 2x4 sandwich as a cheaper alternative to the slides. Feels like the drawer tracks are always the most challenging/expensive part so great to learn the simpler method!
I think what I envy the most about the projects you've shown lately - especially this series - is how much help you have. A second (or third!) pair of hands is so useful sometimes!

Great you've just made my deck cost go up! This is an amazing idea I'm thinking more so toy storage for all the kids toys!! Maybe even one for cushions for deck chairs!! The possibilities are endless

Very clever! Especially the fact that it’s shielded from rain.
I like it! Good thinking, April. That is such a clever way to utilize spare, wasted space. The unistrut looks like the way to go for this. Thanks for mentioning that it is expensive but, it is a one-time expense. The wood-on-wood is a much less expensive way to go but, over time, it will be much more difficult to use if you put too much weight in that drawer.

Exactly, if you don’t waterproof it it’s basically useless !
Kudos for providing a simple cheap option in addition to the nice (but expensive) option.

The little red squirrels in my yard would absolutely love that for storing pine cones :)

How do you keep critters out from under-deck storage areas?
If they're there, they're likely already under the porch or house or near. Of course you watch where you put your hand but living in the country, you can't just get away from everything. Thanks for watching.
