This is not just technically a the top, this is music from the heart. Alex, share your talent with our hunger for true love for music.
alex is a genius! this song has 28 chords. and he plays the melodies effortlessly!
the most amazing guitar player I ever known
alex, the master.
as allways, nicely done alex. congratulations.
This is a fucking definition of smothness.
I grew up listening to Eddie V, Steve Vai, Larry Calrlton, Al Di etc. I'm an X-Pro lead guitarist and never, have I seen such an amazing technical knowledge base combined with what seems infinite control, dynamics and FEEL. Alex - you are my GUITAR GOD !!
GOTTA LOVE THOSE FUNNY FACES!!!! GREAT MUSIC BY THE WAY!
Alex is great!
I wish this song plays at heaven's gate ...
Love this guy!! I NEED an album!!!!!!!!! I bet I'd listen to his album as much as I do Govan's!!
amazing technique!!! AMAZING!
1.20 to 1.24 woooah, what a great noise
why do so many people think he sounds like guthrie? lol completely different. both amazing guitarists, both great at improvisation. those are the only similarities I see
Duston Hall Yep, Agree! Been thinking the same for a long time - glad someone finally said it :0).
@steeldrum66 I'd cry tears of utter joy too if I could play like that.
1:54 - 1:58 is my favorite random shred lick in a long, long time.... so rare to grab my attention like THAT. This guy is crazy!
Arpejos
FOR FUCK SAKE ALEX MAKE A GOD DAMN ALBUM, EVERY TIME I WANNA HEAR YOUR STUFF I HAVE TO WATCH THESE VIDS
:54 to :58 is an awesome Alex Hutchins phrase/lick!
Hey Alex I agree with the guy who said "for god sake make an album!".....nice playing ....it reminds me a little of Larry Carlton..... not the playing so much but the harmonic approach....and ... well ...yeah .... the sensitivity!
your play take me somewhere!
soo fresh.
his tone is out of this world
I could watch this guy all day, with lots of guitarists this good they bore you after 30secs of video.
This guy is very musical; rare in such a technical player
I don't like neither shredding nor jazz long phrasing, but this... It's just amazing
Awesome!
VERY NICE
reminds me of Andy Timmons and Steve Lukather
VERY NICE
Alex, we need your album !
looking at you playing truly gives me nice inspiration to play..... keep it flowing
My goodness he is good.
perfection!
awesome!
@rapidtranq His Hands are Out of this world!!!
Pocos en el mundo tocan así de extraordinario, eres un genio Alex Hutchings.
This kind of Guitar playing is "Listenable".! Great stuff Alex!!!
I would love to Alex play with Steely Dan.....it would be a perfect fit.
great
awesome playing :D
Simply Marvelous! Genius!
@kjkmo That is an awesome concept you have there
This is some seriously great guitar playing!! Very tasty! He adds so much colour to the chords and the Gambale-like sweeps at 1:54 ownwards are... Incredible!!
intro of the song sounds like it's played with sax :) this guy is amazing!
@xxCAGExx Floyd Roses do have the 2 point pivot system, but that's not what defines a Floyd. First, the floyd is locking, to prevent tuning issues. With a well set up trem system, though, you can do this stuff without having to worry about the guitar going out of tune. Anyway, you can do all the thing he does with any trem, I believe having it floating helps.
cheers
Brage
The intro gave me some chills :O
He's just the best!!!!
Master guitare Alex Hutchings !!!
then i'm the third lucky man to see alex incredible playing...
:D :D
those bends and "screams" at 1:48 and 1:59 are so nice :)
One of my old professional musician friends said taht he is GOOOOOOOD!
at i thought, oh no...not another guy play way over playing something..........but then, somewhere about the half way point I actually loved Alex's playing!
Great....freaking great!
fantastic playing...sooo groovy!!:)
@Mpalmer00 yeah man hes got the gambale licks down he is such a master of so many techniques, have you seen his 8 finger tapping at the end of ice cold? soo good
absolutely amazing
wow ...
Awesome
man, what a player!
I touched myself ....I'm mean I touch me .....I'm mean that was touching.
@pierolivier111 when I met him he said it was just lots of practice for hours and hours a day although i think he may have done classical lessons when he was younger, can't remember
@robydux To be honest ( ive not read the tabs or partitures) the point in his playing is the way he conencts scales and the rythms he used, different motives and everything fits perfectly with the rythms, maybe if he uses one scale in the song it would also be great as well. After studing harmony.scales arpeggios and all of that i realized the good rythm is the hardest thing to get in music
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I bet he could win ANY solo-guitarcompetition ;)
Silhouette I believe, but ya your right.
Alex Hutchings has a super clean technique that I bet even Guthrie Govan wishes he had, I know I do!
THIS GUY NEED A CD OF HIMSELF. He's unmatched in my opinion
ok, I crack under the pressure: I'm Facebooking this!
fuck! this dude has just rendered me SPEECHLESS!!
X(
These scales are Blues and Jazz but they are all mixed! Im pretty sure the course note is B
fusion usually refers to some kind of groove admix…blues and soul for example
uhauhauhauhauha oh, yeah!
what's a great composition to us is an improvisation to him
very smooth elevator music! i like this a lot, but does he makes also songs that are less guitar based and more on overall composition?
HOLY CHRIST i didnt know Andrew WK could play so well. but really if you know who AWK is they look so much alike its uncanny. anyone else agree!?
@xxCAGExx what do you mean by that?
all the whammy bar effects can be done in any floyd rose
@Anonymous122131 Couldn't agree more! Look at how much better Guthrie Govan is with band than over those backing tracks!
@Zebula77 Different approaches I think. Guthrie is more "free" than Hutchings IMO, Hutchings plays a little more composed. He's kind of following the chord progression whereas Guthrie and Greg Howe too more seem to play whatever comes to mind, regardless of chor progression. Don't get me wrong, this guy plays outside as well, but somehow he does that more neat as well. Either way, all great players!
like 1000%
What'a the progression chord od this song? Plese someone tell me
sooooooooooooo fine
@Phazur this is just jamming over a track
@KainVKail LOL!!!!!!! Andrew WK practiced so much since party hard
anyone know what kind or brand of them that is ? is that the one petrucci uses ?
1:57 for B.B King
@kjkmo you.. are.. so... right o_0
@sandiS93 He's in and out of several scales, this is in no was diatonic.
where´s the "master" button?
does he have a compressor on his tone?
what kind of trem is he using, wilkinson ?
f5 to skip the commercial
Does alex have a cd?
when can I buy he's album?
What guitar is Alex always using? Like brand wise?
Nom de Dieu, je revends mes six guitares et me remets a passer l'aspirateur...
Curious me wonders what type of strings he uses.
sounds like a fuckin weather channel
@verylastbreath if you're high
When he shaves that head, he's so gonna look like Andy James's brother :)
I wish I could play like this guy. Hell, I'd even take his hair, lol.
