Tamiya Grand Hauler Matte Black Special Edition Chassis Build Part 1

In this video I start building the chassis of this awesome Tamiya Grand Hauler Matte Black Special Edition truck. I'll be installing a full set of Plaig bearings, hop-up Tamiya oil filled dampers and the multi function control unit for lights sounds and vibrations. Then I'll move on to the Shell fuel tanker with motorised legs and full light kit. It's going to be awesome!

Thanks Mark. I’d like to show more of the actual building. The trouble is I usually do everything at least twice and have to read the instructions 3 times so it would end up as long as Avatar, or spend 3 weeks editing lol.

@@jason.bochniak I built it too. I found it to be not that difficult. But Keith pointed out to me to pay attention to the pictures as they show the gearbox from one side and then from the other side.

Is there a light kit that you can get that goes with both the truck and trailer?

Don’t think so. The MFC covers the Tractor and has a plug socket output for the separate trailer light kit. In the light kit there’s the cable that plugs into the MFC with a socket that fits in the back of the cab. Then another separate cable for the trailer that plugs into the Tractor. There are other kits made by different manufacturers that have infra red connections to eliminate the physical cable. Check out Keith’s video over @rcicons. He has done a video on them.
