That's a lot of miles. That deadhead back is killin you, man. consider booking your loads so that you do have something coming back. Even if you have to drive an hour or so to go get it. Sometimes it's inevitable, but it's possible to get a load coming back. Those loads are high because no one wants them, because there's nothing coming back. Or, people aren't looking to route themselves coming back, or even going out further. You can make money coming home. Just have to put work into finding them.
Talk to the person that is checking you out. You can drop off you loads logistically (from furtherst to least amount of deadhead) rather than administrative(as show on paperwork)
I live in texas too. Having a hard time getting general liability policy. Every agent kept saying in state of Texas they can't write one up. Who did you go with?
Do you run every weekend, sounds good but running containers sounds like a better option. I've been otr 10 years just looking for better local option with my LLC

It really depends on what area you’re in. I had post a truck loads for 2 months straight last summer averaging $4/mile so less than peak season of course but still not that bad

Most weekends I take off, unless im picking up a load on Friday and need to drive over the weekend to have it delivered by Monday

Amazon only allows 1 load at a time but once you complete a load, you can come back and do another one

Yes. Just as long as you’re not constantly going over 6000 total for the month
