I do have one of these machines it goes like a rocket and kicks its back end out at 75mph that supercharger whine is sublime mines a 2018 model good on fuel too never down to single didgets mpg usually hits 35 around town and 47 on a run with cruise control engaged when you drive it manually and with that 8 speed box the noise and acceleration is insane and those farallon wheels in phantom gloss Black just make it look stunning they are a rare car too 104 uk built models could even be a world wide figure not seen many for sale
@@carsage8836 yes it is a very reliable car good on fuel the only issuesto watch with them is the idler pulleys and the coupler which is a cheap fix about 35 pounds for one and then about 1.5 hours labour it happens because the spring in the factory fitted one wears them out causing them to rattle
@@steventhornton4716 Interesting. Anything further to add after 2 years? It would be a great help. Do you still have it? Mileage, servicing expenditure etc?
Ordered mine today holy crap what a car was going to buy an e class merc e63s which is yet again another truly amazing car but you get so much more for your money and you save quite a bit getting a low milage one of these for about 44k whilst a merc with similar miles and that is older is 59 to 65 k its nuts
So just a few years ago they had a 550 xj. So new exhaust and a tune and different supercharger pulley and belt you will have a 600hp beast probably closer to 640. Oh and save yourself 70k
I've seen these up at 950bhp without too much trouble even standard ones de restricted are looking at almost 200mph they are an absolute powerhouse I know the mercedes e63s is 612 but these are so much easier to tune like you said smaller pulley a remap new belt better air intakes 200 cell cat and a new set of pipes theres close to 720bhp
Jag oughta shove in about 50-60 more hp for 2019..... and why the hell not AWD???? Anyway Mr Pritchard, that was one helluva' review!!!! Nicely done Sir! You just got yourself a sub............ Let's throw some hammers back there in Derek D style..... (damn I miss that YT channel)
What a car, just bought myself after watching all the reviews. No complains
ali1122334455 doubt it

All great but check out the torque limit of the gearbox. If you're tuning a 550 or even a 575 then you want an 8hp70 minimum.
Yes!!!
great review!!
