      Yes. What actually happened was that WCW put some belt on him (I forget which) when he wasn't signed to a contract. Vince McMahon saw an opportunity to make his rivals look stupid (not that they needed him for that) and signed him to return to his old Haku gimmick.

    Papi Chulo/Essa Rios was actually one of my favorite wrestlers back in WWE during the Attitude Era, so I haven't forgotten about him, but I can easily understand why many people would, as he was never featured on the main shows all that often, and you'd usually have to watch Heat, Jakked, and Metal to see him in action. I strongly remember his brief feud with the late Eddie Guerrero and Chyna when he was paired with Lita. He's currently wrestling in his native Mexico in CMLL under the name Mr. Aguila.

      +OZZITHEISAAC Completely agree. What those people fail to realise is that if you cart out Adam for every single video, he'd be overexposed and lose his superstar aura. That's why you need mid-card talents like Simon to work some videos so when an Adam one drops, everyone knows it's the main event.

      I remember all of them, except for the opening jobbers who only had like 1 televised match.
      I hate the list, but I think it's meant to be more "wrestlers' gimmicks you wouldn't think about unless someone brings them up"
      - which is fair, except for K-Kwik, who I still remember because D-O-Double-G and K-Kwik gettin ROWDY! I wish he'd bring back the name, because I loved the raps he did with Brian James. It was the final real remnant of DX
      (And I think about Dan Severn sometimes because of UFC/MMA, and how he was sort of a proto-Brock Lesnar)

      @pigs18 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +GrompFedGG Cornette is wrong. But it's another chance to talk crap about the WWE and like an obsessed ex, Cornette will never let a chance like that go by. Severn was a legit badass, but he has the charisma of a cardboard box. Even TNA didn't want him, going so far as to have him stripped of the NWA Championship.

    • @thinkblu378

      pigs18 And why? because he wasnt booked the way Cornette wanted him to be. Look at brock lesnar, the man might be strong but he has the charisma of a stone. Would love it if Severn was in Lesnars place rn, at least he isnt a complete asshole and actually achieved something in the UFC.

      We look at the Attitude Era with rose tinted glasses for every Stone Cold there were 10 Beaver Cleavages.

      Actually yes I have (I came in just before nWo started up and I was really into Mankind v Taker feud lagit shocked when Paul refused to give Taker the urn ) seriously go back and watch the Attitude era It was really re watching that I realized how bad alot of it was the stuff thats good was pure gold but my god there was some cringe worthy shit back then I found myself going I can't believe we actually liked some of this stuff.

    • @jvb3167

      +Kira Lawlet Not even close. The attitude era had alot of great matches.

    • @KIRA-EL
      @KIRA-EL 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I never said it didn't I said there was a lot of really bad stuff the because of the timne we thought it was gold. Not saying there weren't a lot of workhorses but they never really got the chance to show it. The show itself was much more character driven as a result A guy like Val Venis (who was a really good wrestler had the focus on his gimmick and never really got to shine as an in-ring preformer.Al Snow also really good and had a hell of a match with Triple H SD once but the focus was just on the fact that he's crazy. What I'm saying is a guy like Cesaro who is a beast when you put him against any era and gets over only on his wrestling wouldve been second fiddle to a guy like the godfather because one of them had an interesting gimmick and gimmicks and shock tv were very much the focus.
