      Having now used & examined this crisper tray, if a tool was supplied which hooked & twisted into the crispers centre there would be no need to get burnt from the heat either!

    I have a Ninja air fryer and quite like it however I thought I would try an experiment. I have a smart meter which shows you how much electricity you are using. I put the ninja on roast at 190 and noted the reading on the smart meter, I then put the small section of my ordinary oven on guess what it uses exactly the same amount of electricity but has about 6 times the capacity !!!

    Regarding the cooker. I bought one a couple of weeks ago. It’s been a game changer, even compared to my old tower one that has a rotator. It’s amazing. The only negative is removing the contents. It’s soooo fast at cooking.

    Maybe you can help me make a choice. I am choosing between ninja foodi(op300) and ninja speedi(on400), the main differences are that the speedi does not have a pressure cooking function and I don’t know if this function makes sense if the ninja speedi has a steam cooking function and how do I I realized the main differences between pressure cooking and steaming are only time and speed of cooking, and everything else is the same. What then to choose?

    Good video, but what you not mentioning is the cleaning of inside of the lid area, actually, no one knows how to do this, no advise from Ninja themselves.... as usual...There is a huge difference between USA version and the UK version! *It is a game changer.*
    Try this... put 500ml water in the bottom, then put frozen mackerel fillets on the shelf at the top.
    "Steam Bake" for 15 mins. I can't remember the exact time, it might only be 12 mins, you need to look in the book (frozen fish on Steam Bake is listed around the back of the book somewhere, I think under the pale blue headings) and the water does take a while to get up to temp before it starts cooking, but on the "Steam Bake" setting I think it does have a preheating phase to it (unlike just normal air frying that seems to need about 3 mins adding to any cooking time and unlike the smaller tapered cylinder type fryers that don't start cooking until they get up to temp) so it's OK to put the actual time in.
    *OH MY GOD the fish you end up with at the end!*
    Crispy brown skin and an incredible flavour. It's like I'm eating a totally different food to the usual foil wrapped oven baked fish. Be warned though - the fish does make a mess and gets a bit stuck to the shelf and it's also nearly touching the element at the top of the Ninja, but there is some clearance there. You won't believe how amazing mackerel with skin on (and I guess most other fish like it) comes out doing it this way. Never had fish like it.

    Metal tongs will NOT hurt the non-stick coating UNLESS you SCRAPE with it-- just picking up stuff will NOT harm it at all. But I even ordered an extra tub and shelf for it JUST in case and have had NO issue with it scratching at all.

  • @davidwayne9982
    @davidwayne9982 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    I"ve had one of these for MONTHS--and used nothing but the air fry setting. I did the setting steam nd crisp once and it was GREAT... but I'm doing carnivore- so only need the one setting.. The machine is great--- all kinds of helps... the ONLY drawback I have for it-- is there is NOT enough room in it. I have to- as carnivore- eat around a pound or more of meat at a time- and if you STACK it inside- it won't all cook correctly-- and there is not enough room to slice it and spread it out. THAT has nothing to do with HOW it works though- and that is WONDERFUL. I just wish they'd make one with like a 10inch by 10 inch "pan" inside it-- instead of the puny 7 inch one..

You dropped the ball here, I guess all you testers live in massive mansions, we have like many small homes, Lounge/kitchen/diner, we bought the 15 in 1 machine, using it on Air fryer, meant you could hear nothing, no telly, no conversation, not even someone ringing the door. You missed the noise when cooking. We got rid of ours sadly, in our small home it was just too loud, super machine. Please if you are going to review something at least do a proper review, many of us don't have large separate kitchens with doors to close when cooking.

      God that is a lot of moaning.

      You sure you didn't get a faulty unit? Not being able to hear the TV or a conversation isn't normal. Obviously a mini convection oven with really powerful fans is going to make noise, they're not intended to be silent. A washing machine on a spin cycle is much louder though, so either you're being dramatic or the unit was faulty.

    From customer feedback on Amazon, it seems like this air fryer doesn't even come with a UK plug.

    The thing about air fryers is they get people to eat more fried food

    • @mydogeatspuke
      @mydogeatspuke ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It's not fried though. The name is misleading. It's just a small convection oven with a powerful fan. So what you really mean is that they get people to eat more baked food.
