I love our prophet Russell M. Nelson and I am so thankful for him! I also love Heavenly Father and Jesus and I know this gospel is true! I just wish these video's were longer, I love to hear anything President Nelson says!!! Please - make them longer, lol!!!

Shawna Johnson, how very sweet of you. Notice how President Nelson modestly directs the credit to our Lord. We needed some relief from the wild times we live in. I feel that angels will hold you and me and many others so very tightly in their arms.

Angels are! I believe our guiding angels are our ancestors who lived before us. The veil is thinner as the world becomes more evil. Hold to the rod and you will never be swayed to choices made as we do on a daily basis. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. I am so grateful to have it strongly in my life ♥️

Are Latin American people in South America Lamanite?

It depends on whether or not you believe the Book of Mormon and if so, whether or not you believe native Americans are all descendents of the Lamanites or just some of them. If your answers to the first question is no then there were no Lamanites or Nephites. Non LDS historians think Native Americans are descendents of Asians who crossed a narrow strip of land that once existed between Asia and Alaska and moved south and/or by island hopping across the Pacific over 20,000 years ago. A few think there might also have been some migration across the Atlantic as well. If, however, your answer to both questions is yes, then that portion of South Americans of native descent must be Lamanites. If you answer question one yes but question two no, then the answer is maybe they're of Lamanite descent and maybe they're not. While Church teaching obviously affirms the historicity of the BoM it rightly notes that there is nothing in the book that says the Nephites and Lamanites were the only settlers. Hence that issue is one that church members can hold different positions on, so long as they affirm that at least some of today's Native Americans do have Lamanite DNA. Hope this is helpful.
It’s possible that some Latin Americans are descendants of the Lamanites but Joseph Smith identified specific native American tribes - Amerindians - living in North America as the descendants of the Lamanites.
David Stout, thanks that helps, only how does “depends on what you believe” approach changes the fact if we really are Lamanites or not ? ... What does the church says ?
My patriarchal blessing says my lineage is from Manasseh. I'm as white as the soft pillowy clouds. So I could be a lamanite. The gathering is a spiritual gathering not a physical one. Peace
What are current and future generations going to do when Jesus never comes back? How long are Mormons and Christians going to hold onto this fairy tell. I guess as long as the money flows into these con artist is the real answer.

@@shirleyoxburgh6061 No he is not. I wish he was, I would love to be wrong I'd be the first to admit it. But it's just not going to happen. You can not create a reality that meets your prejudices or beliefs, the universe dose not work that way. I hope you have a long and fulfilling life but no matter what you believe I can assure you that you, your grand kids, your great grand kids and so on will never ever see the return of Christ. In the mean time live a full life and find happiness and meaning on your own. All religions are man made.
