Swift Zwift Tip: Route Badge Unlock SHORTCUT // Innsbruck Lutscher CCW

  • The Lutscher CCW Route Achievement Badge is one of the HARDEST to achieve thanks to the double ascent of the Reverse Innsbruck KOM climb required. This week I came across a tip that allows people to skip the lengthy lead-in and allows you to complete it with only ONE ascent of the leg snapping climb!

    Yes. It works on the forward lutscher route too. And this tips also works great for someone who chasing XP. Use TT bike for getting 10XP at the banner. Descent 6km to the bottom for getting 120XP without any effort. You can repeat 3 times a day for this trick

    I just used this trick to do Lutscher (clockwise, doing the CCW tomorrow). Was dropped off 1 km from the KOM on the correct side; a bit of a climb to start, then the descent and all the climb. The meetup finished about 50 m before the KOM and then I got the badge when passing the KOM. Super-nice to do the warm-up and cool-down on the two descents. :)

    It's technically correct that German "Lutscher" means "Lollipop", but in a cycling context it also means "someone who drafts". Similarly, the verb "lutschen" (to lick) can be (and is) used for "drafting" (das "Windschattenfahren"). Kudos to Zwift for that word game. Now I only need to find out where on that specific route the drafting effect is actually perceptible, at my weight :-)

      I slogged up it once and was so p*ssed off when I came round again that I baled on it. I hate it when Zwift does that, its impossible to pace yourself if you have no idea that a ride they tell you will be 13.5km and 400m is actually 26km and 800m!

      @@sherzz I do too. I also hate how you need to choose a route before you can take a look through your route badges to see which one you actually wanted to choose! Then I always forgot during the restart time of Zwift.
      These days I use ZwiftHub to keep track of what routes I've already done and it has a side-bonus of letting you know the lead-in's distance, elevation, and gradient!
      It's also really nice to sort things by all kinds of other factors, especially gradient.

    • @jtlehman
      @jtlehman 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you need to u-turn to hit the banner at the start? Or just ride the route as presented with the meet-up (a la CCW)?

    • @andrebusnardo
      @andrebusnardo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don’t remember doind a u-turn. From what I recall, just ride. Looking at the activity in ZC and Strava also seems to be straightforward. The spawn point, however, is 1km aprox from the KOM banner, so will need to climb a little before actually starting the route (in Lutscher CCW you spawn closer to the KOM banner)

  • @stvb2123
    @stvb2123 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Both Lutscher route badges spawn you [using meet-up] slightly downhill from the 'start' banner at the top of the climb. Lutscher spawns nearly 1km downhill, LutscherCCW is closer to the start. After using the meet-up tip to cut out the lead-in, just head uphill to the start point. If you've set the meet-up to 'distance', the meet-up can finish before the end of the route, so make-sure to ride past the final banner to collect badge.

    The reward system in Zwift is interesting! you ride a Fondo or Tour and get a kit... ride every route across all words and they give you a couple of badges that no one can see. You climb Alpe Du Zwift 21 times and get a badge. That should earn a special Alpe Du Zwift jersey. 50,000, 75,000 and 100,000 kms should earn jerseys as well
