I Played Pathologic 2 on The Hardest Possible Difficulty

- I decided it would be fun to turn up every difficulty slider to its maximum to make pathologic as hard as possible. This video focuses more on the survival aspects of pathologic rather than the story.
This is also my first time making anything like this so please excuse any audio or other issues in the video
Okay, so I just finally did this challenge. I've been trying for months, but as of yesterday I did it. 200% difficulty. No save loading. No haruspex deaths. No npc deaths.
I did end with 4 people infected and got the nocturnal ending cause I was out of food and bandages and was going to die running to town hall. I also will note a technically did load a few times but that was in response to game crashes and I ended up roughly equal or slightly worse off in each case as a result of it.
Additionally, I did both the first few days and the last day while sick in real life.
Okay, I'm done. I'm broken now. It's over. Until I inevitably decide to do this with perma infection someday after I forgot how much it sucked...

@@Andy_North Idk, i was playing the Relapse mod on Pathologic 1, and rats now stress me out more than ever.
You haven't felt fear until you see a rat bolting towards you and you're scrambling through your inventory for your knife so you don't waste ammo.

36:43 You actually can get past those soldiers with them noticing you, I did so by being as close as possible to the rocks and in stealth mode
Great video. It looks like you did as good as you possibly could except for solider bit at the end.
You can actually give the bribing money back to the workers. If you go to Aspity's house (I think it was the next day), one of the men will be there and you have the option to tell him the truth and give the money back.

On my second playthrough I was very powerful. I had all weapons as soon as they became available, loads of ammunition and repair tools. Every night usually resulted in small bloodbaths around town as I dealt out death to the lowlives with one headshot after another from my revolver. But it felt like I was doing good deeds. I even killed surrendering bandits, and used sneak attacks. I just had to snuff them out, because I knew they would keep murdering people if I didn't. Then for some reason I decided to start killing the soldiers when they arrived. I didn't need their food or other equipment. I just liked the fact that I had to fight really hard I think. It felt like it was okay to become enraged and want to hurt them, because I was struggling to survive when fighting them. Usually I would be half dead after I dropped the last guy. Their rifles deal tremendous amounts of damage, and they rarely miss. It is also kind of a strange experience having so many gunfights in the game, and having to use cover etc.
The Hide and Seek is super irritating. Basically, the script that removes people for events like that is broken, and doesn't actually remove them. The pre-hiding kids don't despawn. BUT. Hidden versions of them DO spawn. You can still do the thing and tag them and get the shmowder, if you understand that instead of hiding their current bodies they meant they are going to quantum super impose a second body and make you go find that one.

iv had issues with the hide-and-seek Shmowder before too, i think it has something to do with when you talk to them, i started the game and it didn't work so i just went around killing folks (as i do) and when i passed by the park again the sound played and i could play the game. This took around three in game hours at the start of day 2
