I'm looking at a used (27K mi) '22 SLE. I love that there's no piano black plastic anywhere in the interior! I'm not sure about the "shifter" being pull buttons on the dash...and the bad visibility looking out the rear quarter windows while backing up. They are awful high up. Can you tell me if yours have been an area of concern whenever you back up?

The best engine the Terrain had was the 2.0 which they got rid of after 2020. In favor of the 1.5 as the sole and only engine. It was a TERRIBLE move by GMC. They could have at least kept the 2.0 as an extra "cost option" or made it standard on the Denali trim. It put out 252hp and 260lbs torque. As opposed to 175hp and 203lbs torque for the 1.5. I hope they bring it back in 2024 and later models. Especially, when other car manufacturers are offering 2 or 3 different engine choices. Nissan for example took a HUGE gamble going with a 3cyl turbo but it puts out 200hp and 225lbs torque. And it's paying off big time for them. Bottom line is if they don't bring back the 2.0 because of cost issues etc...They have too increase the HP on the current 1.5. Because 170-175 is not cutting it. Honda's CRV puts out 190hp they could easily do that mated to the 203lbs torque. You'd be surprised folks what 20 extra HP will do for this vehicle.
Hey Tom, first off I appreciate you watching the video. I also LOVED the 2.0L Turbo engine its still in tons of Chev, Buick & Caddy products because it's awesome! So why isn't it in the Equinox/Terrain's had nothing to do with cost it had everything to do with a bean counter somewhere in tower GM. Bean counters are not bad but they usually REDUCE the fun in vehicles. The 2.0L in a Terrain was a rocket ship and it destroyed any CRV or Rav4 on the road. Nowadays our 1.5L is basically equal to what Honda and Toyota are doing and in fact Car & Driver say the Terrain felt the fastest despite them being all within 1 second of each other in zero to 60 tests see below for power comparison: Remember HP (horse power) keeps you moving! Torque gets you up and moving! Having torque at low RPM means you get up and go faster despite having a physically smaller engine. Terrain 1.5L Turbo 175hp Terrain 1.5L Turbo 203lb-ft torque @ 2000RPM CRV 1.5L Turbo 190hp CRV 1.5L Turbo 179lb-ft torque @ 1700RPM Rav4 2.5L (no Turbo) 203hp Rav4 2.5L (no Turbo) 184lf-ft torque @ 5000RPM

Where is the transmission dip stick?
Any issues with the base model? Because of Brandon I had to downsize from my truck to this and I’m concerned with transmission issues etc
No transmission issues of any kind sir. We have sold hundreds and I have never replaced or repaired a transmission yet.

Nice review! Awesome vehicles
Thank you! 👍
Does it have sunglasses holder and a steering wheel heater as well?
Sunglasses holder yes. Heated steering wheel is on the SLT, AT4 and Denali trims only.
Will two carseats and an adult fit in the back seat?
Yes, if it is a smaller130lbs person, no if it's a 260lb adult.
@@WesternGMDrumheller Thank you!
