Bro, your video on this watch is so much more helpful than the video made by this company! Im going to need watching this many times to learn how to finish setting my watch. Thanks!!
Wow, great find! That’s pretty damn cool. I have absolutely no need for this, but I want one! Ha! The pace “metronome” feature is to walk to that beat, thus setting a goal/expectation for your pace. This thing looks great! Love the matte black stainless steel.
@@allthingsrandom8137 Looking forward to your field trek video! Will be nice to see this thing in its environment. Will be interesting to note if there is an ideal operating ambient temperature range, too.
Ha, so I just bought one myself, and the first watch I’ve bought all year, but the different model that is yellow. I had a credit on Amazon and got free freight to Australia. I think it was just over $60 I paid for it. I preferred the look of the yellow watch, with the normal type band on it. I bought it for similar reasons, mostly the compass, and altimeter, but the more things to play with the better. Funny, too, I had exactly the same clock as yours, I gave it to my father in law and he had it repaired. It was my grandparents originally.
So far I’ve been wearing this thing every day, and it’s surprisingly more comfortable than I ever thought for the size. From things that I’ve looked at, the functions on the watch are best when it’s taken off your wrist placed on a dry, non-magnetic surface, and left for about 20 minutes…. Not sure how that’s going to fair in the middle of Alaska
@@allthingsrandom8137 Yes, I could see that being an issue! Mine will probably become my main daily watch also, I’ve been using a GD-350 G Shock on a leather nato strap for pretty much the entire year so far. I’d imagine Alaska would be fairly safe though?
I just ordered on Amazon, I ha e been looking at the Suunto but it is $180.00 so I decided to give this one a try, I do have a Casio Pathfinder Protrek, I use it when I go to Medellín Colombia, on the mountains and it pretty accurate, so I will see when I take this one there see how it compares with the 200 dollars Casio. I did, but it was with a pair of rock rooster hiking boots i reviewed. Next weekend I am taking it out again, because I still use it, even years later. It’ll be titled “surviving in the Alaska wilderness with this watch”.
I got one and I like it but is sucks crap it keeps reseting it self and it won't let me Input the correct elevation and pressure if I set it to the right presure it will make the elevation go low and the other way I know how to set it and am using the correct measurements and I opened it once and a screw striped
Hey, just picked up this great watch (North Edge Apache) liked this video BTW, but I have a question: through all the other videos I watched looking for an answer to changing temp from Celsius to Fahrenheit, Ive come up with nothing, however, I saw that your watch was set for Fahrenheit, have you found how to change this on the watch or did yours simply come like that? Let me know if your able to help.
Starting from the basic time zone page, tap the 4 o'clock button. Then just hold the 2 o'clock button. It will flip the altitude from meters to feet and give versa, but every other time it will change the temp units
@@allthingsrandom8137 Thanks for replying! A few people had some complaints on Amazon, which kinda turned me off of this watch. But it's good to know that yours is still running after a few years. Maybe I'll order one...thanks again!
It has a timer,… but can you set seconds?. Most of the watches can only do hours and minutes. I need seconds. Sometimes I was to rest 90 seconds when working out
really easy man , if you still haven't figured it out , all you need to do is press the up right button , and then keep pushed down the left bottom one , until you see that is ready for calibration , then place it on the table , and rotate it for around 30 seconds , and you're done
I really wished someone you demonstrate its use to the full extent not just pushing a couple of buttons! I need a timer that runs for days and not 30 minutes!
Yes, pronounce the pedometer, similar how we pronounce “speedometer” or “Sped-o-meter”. Good review though, I’m going with what he says, the instructions are a bit lacking, but that will happen with some products as they likely don’t have a good interpreter around. I am not fluent in Mandarine, so will have to make do. I’ve worked at a few places where an English native speaker wasn’t any better in their technical writing to other English speakers. As time goes, someone may learn the two languages better and write a better manual. For now, this review is very helpful. I’ve gotten by with anything that tells time, old school Casio for $10, but the cheap rubber strap fell apart. This is way overkill for me, but have to agree, very nice watch for the money.
Pace counters are for marching so you can reach a known point on a set time . It is a military use . This watch is clearly beyond your capabilities if you think it is for playing the bloody piano.

Never push buttons underwater… causes water intrusion on this one. Only if it’s specifically a dive computer, which this is not…
