- The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is a 1,350 km long, 8-lane wide (expandable to 12-lane) under-construction (partially operational) access-controlled expressway connecting India's national capital New Delhi to its financial capital Mumbai. The foundation stone for the project was laid by union minister of Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari in the presence of Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley on 8 March 2019 and it was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The total project value including the land acquisition cost is around ₹1,00,000 crores (~US$13.1 billion). It is expected to be completed by the October 2025.

I too have been following the development work of NE-4 from day 1. It It is a gift for commuters in this route with many amenities. I have travelled thru NE-4 along available stretches 6(six) TIMES from Delhi to Thandla Road (Ratlam) and back in last one year ! I travelled last time on 10 Aug. It was raining all the way. God what an experience !

Congress make enough economy to build this kind of major highways, after liberalisation our first priority was to make basic amenities accessible to all and congress do that , they convert major national highways to four lane or wide, they created school, hospital and our village roads better. If they are now in power their priority was now on expressway as well .

The part of Delhi Mumbai Expressway between Bharuch and Vadodara is not completely flat, while driving your vehicle speed is around 90 to 100 and if you are not careful then you can have an accident, in the rain there were big potholes in this part due to which the front and rear tires of some 5 vehicles burst but by the grace of God nothing happened to the passengers in the vehicles, I hope my message reaches # Nitin Gadkari ji and he pays some attention to this matter
