      I think it is better if it remains unknown like this. Once it becomes noted as a wonder or anything then the number of tourists will increase and it will damage the temple and it's sanctity. People who know about it will come visit no matter what. So better it stays like this

      I am really stunned of Chola BIG TEMPLE, what a massive and nice Architecture that too in INDIA. The top crown is 80 Ton (Do you believe it), I am really wondering how they lifted and placed it there without much equipment available during that period ( It was built around 1000 yrs back) I guess Chola temple is 100 times better than Taj Mahal. India gov is not projecting it.

      being proud is different and using Tamil as a national movement kind of thing is different... I visited Kanchipuram as I was very fond of south indian history & empires... I know Bengali, Hindi, English... dont know Tamil... A person cant learn every language... My worst experience was that no one was co-operating me cz I cant tell Tamil, even if they could help me in English... Everybody could see I am a tourist, but they are kind of forcing me to talk Tamil.... Now I think twice before going TamilNadu cz I am kind of like in a different world... I have visited Karnataka, Andhra also where local ppl talk in Telegu, Kannad that I cant speak, but they never did humiliated me but helped me guided me co-operated me.... I am not telling ppl should not cherish their own culture, heritage,,,, but its not a right way to behave with outsiders even if they admires your history culture... The way I was treated felt worst ever I was treated anywhere in India... !!!!!

      Blessing John Chelliah we talk about the technology which used here, which cannot be solved by today’s techified archies.. the kalasam on top has grains in it so that no shock from lightening can affect the temple structure..not only about architecture but also the science they used that’s why it stands 1000+ years. It is believed that Shahjahan cut the hands of the person who built Taj but The Kinja Raja Rajan have his name to the person who built this temple and it has been engraved on the temple. Nobility and humility of this man makes the temple big in our vision than a tomb. Even after 1000 years this has been a resource for so many people’s income he literally is feeding so many people even so many years after his death. That’s why this temple considered majestic wonder for us and the statements made on taj. If you know the history you yourself will get to know why we get emotional when it wasn’t given the respect it deserved.✌🏻Taj mahal is a scenic beauty but nothing much greater than that.Also after the acid rain Taj Mahal was stained to yellow but not this majestic, they engineered in such a way considering every disasters.

      @@sanrafaa mate, different sources say different things and majority says it is brihadesshwara that was named by the cholas, but what ever, the cholas patronised both sanskrit, tamil and even telugu, all these are proud indian languages so whatever names, all of these languages form the essence of indian culture and i am proud of them all, all of these are brotherly names so all of these names are valid, and yes as you rightly said this temple should stand tall and it will stand tall, it belongs to bharat and indians will protect this no matter what! Happy day!

      @@edmundkemper1625 sorry mate... Try finding one stone inscription of sanskrit Or Telugu from the chola period.. You won't get... All are in tamil...
      Even the tirupati temple is of tamil inscriptions.. The politics is such that, the Govt. is hiding those tamil inscriptions to destroy the history of tamils and make the temple as such that it belongs to telugus... You don't know the bigger politics mate... I support every language and every people..
      But when something injustice happens, I have to speak out openly.

      @edmundkemper1625 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sanrafaa unesco mentions that chola temples have both tamil and sanskrit inscriptions, a lot of TN temples have telugu inscriptions mate, the thing is the truth matters and people at that time valued all these languages equally and embraced it like they are part of one family, so if we try to seperate them its like seperating oneself from his family, but I also understand some fringe politicians who don't understand that all these languages are intricately related, tamil , telugu and other languages are literally the souls of hinduism and one should never pit oneself against another coz they represent the same thing, but as you rightly pointed out telugu gets cherished only if tamil wins and vice versa and same goes for sanskrit, if something happens to tamil then obviously it affects other state people because they are intricately related, so don't worry tamil will rise and all indians will support it because tamil's rise is india's rise , indians are not foolish enough to not realize this, tamilnadu is one of the few places that was protected from islamic attack and thus tamilnadu has the real indian culture intact don't worry a lot of north indians realize this and they won't let anything happen to this great land, tamil will rise, thus india will rise, i would say you need not worry about this because every indian has this thought 😀, jai hind!

    Don't call Brahadeeshwara.. Call it Peruvidaiyar Temple. Tanjore temple is the reflection of Mother Tamil language itself. Tamil has 12 Vowels , 18 Consonants, 246 + ஃ = 247 letters totally , 12*18 = 216 letters. 12 Vowels + ஃ =13 . The base of kings is 12 feet, height 18 feet, levels of inner tower layers are 13, total height of the tower is 216 feet and the distance between the linga and Nandhi is 247 feet. Build on the principle of Center of Gravity and Interlocking principles
