I've been here. It is awe inspiring. I'll never forget the monk who gave us the tour. I found the Jain philosophy so interesting. The sculpture is intricate and it is all in prestine state. One of the persons in this video says Ranakpur is "a little jewel in the forest". I'd say it's a treasure. My favorite is the carved ceiling featured on 9:03 . Neither photographs nor video do it justice. If it is within your power, go. This is a bucket list kind of place.

You only have to check out the renovation work they did on the Sun Temple in Korank, Odisha - it's a mess! The restoration of historical relics requires experts and artists with excellent aesthetics and skills. The Cambodian authorities must think deep and only select the most competent experts from the international scene to do the work.

I was in Ranakpur Jain temple and my friend was saying "I don't feel any attachment to it because it's a Jain temple"...
