I am 38. Detransitioning after years on HRT. I can only say thank you God for saving me from the pit.
Thank you Father for delivering your child from this deception
I’m glad to hear you are headed the right way. Many blessings ☦️

Thank you for sharing your testimony. Keep spreading your testimony as it glorifies God. ❤
Glory to God!
I am a 25 year old detransitioning woman. I decided to stop feeding into my trans-identity less than a year after I had amputated my breasts and 3 years on hormones. I thought that amputating my breasts and distancing myself from everything that was naturally feminine about my body, would make me feel happy and free.. It did not, instead I just felt more broken and lonely than ever before. I realized that we only get one life on this earth, and this body is the single most precious gift I have.. One, healthy, perfectly made vessel through which I get to experience all that life has to offer, but instead of cherishing it, I was punishing it. I had to work very hard to deconstruct the internal, mental and emotional system of ideas that led me to pursue transition in the first place. It was difficult, but certainly worth the time, pain and effort. 4 years have passed since I first began de-transitioning and I feel good. I converted and became a catholic 2 months ago, I'm getting married in two months, I have good friends who pray for me and look out for me. I never thought I would heal from all the damage I caused to myself, but here we are. All praise be to God. Guard your children from harmful infuences and teach them how to resist and use reason when they encounter dangerous ideas.
Bless you! ❤
God bless you. Thank you for sharing your story.
Congratulations your story was inspiring
2 Corinthians 3:18-- Continue to spend time beholding the glory of God so that you become transformed into His image from one degree of glory to another.
Congratulations. Unfortunately the devil has alot of people in his grasp. Glad you escaped and found god.
My daughter was raised in a rural place and we had no internet, she watched two movies a week and no tv. She was only exposed to the internet and video games when she was 10. She is 14 now and can see the world so much more clearly than other teenagers her age. She says the kids her age think all the stuff online is normal because they were exposed so young. She remembers just spending time in nature.
God bless! What a great gift to your daughter.
the curse of the celebrity kids too
She'll have a much healthier neurology as well.
Those who grew up on phones are literally neurologically addicted to interactive screens
I feel very fortunate to have grown up in the 80s and 90s
You did an amazing job as a parent!
Imagine spending thousands seeing a therapist when you could just go talk to an Orthodox priest.
They don’t go because of pride, spite, not “fashionable”, parents & priest don’t know anything 😞
Many Priests and a few Bishops were once secular psychologists and psychiatrists too! They can take the knowledge they got for their doctorate and transform it with the teachings of the Church to help people. 🤗
@pennyk1943 maybe it didn't occur to them, maybe they're confused, lost. Maybe it's pressure. It's a bit unfair to assume people don't seek counsel from their parents and priests because they're selfish. Seeing as though most parents and religious authorities I've spoken to have destroyed my trust
If you can replace a therapist with a priest, it means that you never needed a therapist. You just did it because that was popular.
If you think it's okay to come to the monastery for that, then yes, but maybe it would be better to think about the whole concept of Orthodoxy, because I personally think that it's the only way to touch the heavens.
I had to break up with my girlfriend because she wants to transition, I love her but it hurts to see her not only destroy her body but rebel against God and contort the natural order.
Lord have mercy. 🙏
I’m sure that was a very hard decision. May God bless you and watch over her.
You made the right decision. Be there for her. I know it’s not easy with the emotions of a relationship clouding things but if you can keep those feelings aside and be there for her spiritually, maybe you can help her back on the path. Peace be with you.
I'm sorry to hear that, pray that the Lord deliver her from whatever is ailing her mind to make this decision
@@georgematta1700 and meanwhile he hurts himself. the better is let her go and let her do her. we give advice for good but if people do not want to listen we cannot do anything about. let her exercise her fr3e will. we cannot obligate no one to do anything, God do not obligate us to do nothing ¿who are we to do it?.
Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what [a]fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what [b]communion has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14
New King James Version
I did social media fasts during Lent this year and last, and it was massively helpful.
It showed me how dependent I was on instant entertainment and distraction. In a week or so, I was so much more peaceful and productive. When I returned, I could see how social media jerked my emotions around.
As I type this, maybe I feel a nudge to do a social media fast now.
This is why the only thing I use is TH-cam I don't really consider it social media.
I don't have a Facebook I don't have a Twitter I don't have an Instagram I don't have any of that trash.
I really think social media is one of the most evil bad things that you can have on your phone.
Phone's themselves are very addicting.. when you slap on something like social media and then being all obsessed with your online presence you have a dangerous combination especially for kids or for people who are grown ups but not grown up emotionally and mentally and there's a lot of those out there..
You should just quit social media.
Stop fasting from it just quit it.
I am so much happier since I quit it back in 2016.
And I used to be a heroin addict..
I think if I was still using social media even though I've only been clean for 141 days. I think if I was still using social media it would be 10 times harder for me to stay clean because it would have been 10 times harder for me to cut all the people I needed to out of my life and it would be harder to hide from those people.
You know how people are when you try to distance yourselves they tend to pop back in your life or try to find ways to pop back in your life.
I had to smash my phone change my number all kinds of crazy stuff but I'm glad I did it.
Now I've graduated from trade school(CNC).
I'm about to start my apprenticeship at an awesome tool and die shop.
I just got my first credit card 40 days ago about.
I just financed my first vehicle an SUV and literally just got it two days ago.
I don't think I would have any of those things because I wouldn't be able to stay clean and sober if I had social media.
It's just too hard to distance yourself with social media from bad people or people that you want to distance yourself from.
Even if you block them you still are going to get the temptation once in awhile to speak with them one day or they might just make a new profile there's just too many variables.
When you get rid of it outright, not only are you freed from caring about your worthless online presence that literally means nothing but you have the opportunity to escape from everybody that you really don't want to associate with, completely.
Not only that you don't have to worry about seeing stuff that you don't want to see reading stuff that you don't want to read. You don't have to worry about being censored. You don't have to worry about the online you at all.
Unfortunately TH-cam itself is getting really censory.
I've seen my comments get deleted days later even weeks later but I've seen them go bye-bye if I'm talking about a certain thing.
I've watched them get deleted in real time minutes after posting.
I've watched myself post comments say they're posted and then they don't post.
I've had it just say that it can't post it because there's some error.
Anytime I talk about something too heavily God related on most videos it gets deleted or it just will not post.
I've started to notice other people talking about this a little bit more in the comments on random videos.
I stopped making comments much of the time because it's just not worth it because I can't truly say what I want to say most of the time.
I wouldn't be surprised if this disappeared.
there's been so many times that I've checked back on previous videos from months back or weeks back and tried to search for my comment under a certain post or just look through the comments if it was my opening post and in both situations I've seen them just be gone.. and it's always because I'm either talking about God and doing the right thing in accordance to God's will or it's when I'm talking about being clean and sober from drugs or when I'm talking about conservative values.
Give TH-cam five more years.. you won't even recognize it.
You should just get off social media.
Why fast from it?
It's not a necessity like food.
That's like fasting from smoking.. or fasting from dope..
why not just quit?.
I'm not trying to hate on you I'm not talking smack about you I'm just giving you a suggestion because I think you would be a lot happier if you just dumped it all together.
I have nothing but respect for you for taking fasts from social media but I think the right thing to do and if you really pray about it and talk to God about it he will tell you the same thing, drop it altogether.
The best part about that the void that will be left over from not having social media God will fill that with something righteous and good he always does.
Same here
Same here. It's incredible how it is eye opening on how enslaved we are even to the smallest of things. You put it aside and it creates emptiness that we can fill with everything that is good in the eyes of God, or even simply be with God.
What I remind myself is : if even Jesus was tempted, there's no reason why we wouldn't be. And He gave us the tools. ❤️ He also knows our hearts.
Catholic here but I'm loving the straight forward logic and reason coming from the orthodox church. Keep preaching God's reasoning, it clicks for those truly seeking the truth in a world of lies. 🙏🏻🌹

@chucksolutions4579 a "catechumen" is a learner, someone who is under instruction before baptism. "Catechesis" comes from Greek κατήχησις meaning "instruction by word of mouth."

"If we are to know ourselves, we must first know God. And that's why self-knowledge is so difficult" - this is absolutely true!
the human heart is wicked. ppl really think we’re our own god but we’re the same beings who can’t even promise tomorrow. God is necessary
I woke up at 3PM today and, for some reason, I have a lot of motivation to pray, read the bible, go to church, read the lives of the saints, etc.

Hi! Is there a book you can recommend when you want to read about the saints? Maybe a collection?

The same thing with plastic surgery, I was a victim of an ideology of beauty, ultimately reining my health. Sold as a standard of beauty, but in the back and behind all the cameras, there are thousands of women suffering from the consequences of these demonic force.
It became so normalized, it’s terrible. It so crazy to see society stray from God and the Church because they feel it’s too restraining or it evokes suffering and then they go and put themselves under so much suffering for other reasons, it’s really really sad.
I am glad you left, what is afterall an ideology :) as a woman I really thank God that as an adolescent I didn’t had money for plastic surgeries, we are so fragile and vulnerable at that age 🙏
Yes! And if you notice extreme body modification has become normalized within the trans and plastic surgery communities. And it's truly an addiction to fulfill what you believe your ego should appear as. Funnily enough though everyone, trans or not, ends up looking the same... I don't know if you've ever seen or read Laughing Man but this desire to mold the flesh into something entertaining really reminds me of the comprachicos.
@@ritaamor283I agree I had a guy tell me he didn’t want to be saved because he wanted to be free. He felt Christianity was too restraining. Little does he know true freedom is in Christ.
Plastic surgery, antybiotics, lightning rod and pokemons, they are all Satanic forces xD
Im a nurse, years ago while elderly patient was dying, i held her hand, she whispered to me im worried if i will go to heaven, i told her just believe in Jesus jesus, you will. She smiled.
Lot more to it than that lots more rules that needed to be upheld throughout life before death otherwise...nope you ain't getting in the only ones that do like that are babies
@@etherealbladerx8153 I believe there are cases where you can have a death bed repentance. The most important thing is having a change of heart and realizing that you are in error and that salvation comes through Christ. While not exactly related to death bed repentance, Christ does have a parable for repenting later in life. Matthew 20: 1-16
@@etherealbladerx8153faith isn't work. The only way to the father is through Jesus. He loves us and forgives us, and all we have to do is accept this love.
@@etherealbladerx8153Christ forgives all sins if one is repentant so thats not true.
This is the problem today, Jesus never said go ahead and sin even when you know it's bad and I'll forgive you.
Glad you were there for that woman, and of course no need to worry her before death. But on a theological and practice level, Jesus never said go ahead and sin.
I don't think I am a Christian, but my heart is open. I very much enjoyed the wisdom of Fr. Paul's words. Thank you for sharing. Especially about truth & love.
I think it's great you are open to opinions!
As mankind we are so caught up with our egos that we have a distorted view of what love is. Fr. Paul is absolutely correct on this teaching. I have found a lot of churches teach what we must do to be saved. I have found that salvation is mercy extended to us. And mercy and love is the Orthodox Church. Some “Christians” will condemn and judge out of spite and this superiority complex which is not true Christianity. We can judge with righteousness and love and we are commanded not suggested to love our neighbor as ourselves. That commandment alone is so powerful and changing when we tap in to what it truly means. Mercy and love. Not tolerance for evil things but mercy and love and compassion. I highly recommend you go to your nearest Orthodox Church. Don’t worry about if it’s Russian or Greek or Antiochian. Just go. My first liturgy I was in tears with how powerful it was and what God showed me that day.
We’ll be here with open arms once you’re ready. In the meantime, peace be with you.
I'm praying for you
„but my heart is open“.. how nicely you worded that 🩷 I hope it stays open

I am a Roman Catholic, and I thoroughly enjoy the wisdom I have heard here. Thank you for expanding my knowledge!
I live in Grand Rapids Michigan.
About an hour and a half away is the monastery that Fr. Roman Braga served in until his repose.
I was maybe 15 or 16 on my first visit for one of their “work days” where the community comes together and helps the nuns take care of outside tasks.
I remember standing next to a pond with a circle of men talking when I saw a small man draped in black make his way towards us.
He joined our circle, would occasionally speak very quietly & gently.
But the thing I will never forget is what I felt in that moment.
I felt his love. That’s probably the best way to describe an indescribable feeling. His face shined when he spoke. Time slowed down, my attention was solely fixed on this gentle quiet man. I’ve heard someone describe being next to a Saint by saying they “were making the grass grow” and I like that phrase.
I’ve visited Holy Dormition Monastery many times since it holds a special place in my family’s heart. Even when you said his name in the video I got excited & had to comment.
Thank you for this video, I enjoyed the topic very much.
God bless you Fr. Paul & Memory Eternal to Fr. Roman ☦️

"If we are to know ourselves, we must first know GOD"! Beautiful.
I have always been an atheist. I was also left wing and subscribed to all of its ideologies. Then I had children, with my husband, and my mind began to clear. What really pushed me away the most was the attack on children by the left. Every day these ideologies push me closer and closer to God. What they are doing makes me believe that evil exists. Every day I worry about my 3 children and the world they are coming up in. We’ve started attending church and I’ve denounced all left wing stances in my life.
Same. Glad the scales have been removed from your eyes. God bless sister.

Thank you. This is the first time I have heard this Father and I am thankful.
I am thankful I knew Jesus from a young age. Good stopped me becoming a monster. My home growing up was violent. My sister was violent to her boyfriends. I am glad I knew that God did not want me to have girlfriends. I would have been violent and just used them for the obvious with no love involved from my part.
I am also glad I went to God with what we called back then Gender Identity Disorder. I had it age 9-34. It was caused by violence in the home, bullying in childhood and being around the sex industry. I had no good female role models but men were kind, good, intelligent and supportive. I identified with the behaviours of the men around me and not with the nasty, sexual and sexuality gets you everywhere behaviours of the women around me. That is why I thought I was a different gender and wanted a man’s body. I am glad I went to God about this and He took me out of the poisonous environment and I was healed instantly.
God is amazing and wants the best for us. Thanks be to God!

The more we struggle to survive in a society that gives you the freedom to give up Christ, the very essence of our lives, the greater our problems become. The Bible says do not lean on your own understanding. God's way is always the best way & his laws are just. They are not burdensome to those that truly love the Lord.
Seems not widely understood, but childhood trauma causes undeveloped identity. Including possibly the most socially accepted of childhood traumas, divorce. Also, we don’t question allowing our children to be raised by institutions. Unstable identities are easily directed to dark corners

I remember the late Norm McDonald shocked everyone when he told that to someone on a show that he was judging on. He was a Christian and said just about the same thing. God Bless Father Truebenbach.
Wow, what a profound talk by Fr. Paul. It was so good I watched it twice . Excellent upload, Roots of Orthodoxy!
Thank you, Father. Your words give us strength and clarity in times of confusion.
It reminds me that the Word of God is an infinite spring, and whoever drinks from it will never be thirsty.
I find it interesting that in his work, C.G. Jung foresees the loss of identity and meaning in the life of modern man due to the rise of atheism. The fact that C.G. Jung was more of a man of science than a religious man makes me think of the words of Basil the Great in his "Address to Young Men on Greek Literature" prompting the youth to read the pagan philosophers and poets but always under the light of Jesus Christ.
On the other hand, some people mention that psychology, specifically the psychology of depth, is only now able to comprehend and "verify" what was written in the works of Maximus the Confessor hundreds of years ago.
Amen 🙏 praise Jesus! This man is one of God's true warriors!
Truth and love go together. I love this.
Powerful! Thank you!❤
God bless Fr. Paul 🙏
Years ago I moved several hours away from where my family was. Once I moved, I’d began to read the word like never before. I would read the word morning at noon and night. I had no desire for television or social media. I had weened myself off of all electronics. It’s the closest I’ve ever felt to God. I went years without watching any kind of television unfortunately, I had a roommate that moved in and when realizing I didn’t have cable got it for my room as well. I wish it never happened because I was truly focused on the Word of God. I’m still in the Word but no where near where I was.
Man I love this interview 🙏🏾💙 thank you for this. ( for me this is knowledge that ive come to a similar conclusion with myself just from opening my eyes the last 10 years and currently seeing what we are up against) it makes me understand I’m on the right track in my understanding of things 🙏🏾💙 thank you both
Thanks you
AMEN Father.
