A nice kit to end the season of model making! This diorama was built, painted, and designed really well. Have a great holiday season and will see you in the next year.
Youre very fortunate to have gotten a print of that shuttle that isnt all jacked up and misprinted at that back end like mine was, requiring ALOT of putty and shaping work to make it look clean and sharp.
@@williamd1732 it was a fun project for sure and it looks like the designer will make the modified stl file available. Thanks for your compliments and for watching
That's a scene that everyone would recognize from a very good episode. Excellent job Oggie. Know what else works for super glue? Cut the eye of a sewing needle and use a pinvise as the handle. See you next year
Excellent diorama. I recently bought Cozmic Scale Models 1/72 Shuttle from Star Trek 5,it's very nice, also the Blood and Chrome Viper. His bases are brill fir displaying your models.
I built all of those AMT Star Trek kits as a kid; Enterprise, Galileo, Klingon cruiser, Romulan bird of prey, phaser/communicator/tri-corder kit, and Enterprise bridge. I think the only one I never did was the Spock/3-headed alien snake diorama. I was only 7-8 years old and my mom wouldn’t allow me to use model paints so they were pretty crappy, and ended up as short-lived toys.
@@shannonchurchill4556 those kits definitely bring back lots of fond memories. My models were not very good either but it was fun nonetheless. Thanks for sharing and for watching
It's ironic that the rocks used on the real set back in 1966 were probably made out of foam as well, using techniques very similar to what you used on this diorama!
Oggy. I'm sorry as I just deleted but to answer your question it was the first 2:30 minutes. I got out but when I came back on I went back into the beginning voice-over was gone. Anyway Nice job on the diorama and shuttle craft.
@@richardcorwin1828 no worries. hey thanks Richard. Glad it was just a weird temporary glitch of some sort. Appreciate the compliments as always. Happy holidays
I purchased a USS Franklin base from cosmic and after looking at it decided to go into Fusion 360 and designed a base that is printed with connectors and back has barrel power port and 4 places for rocker switches and the franklin switch fits perfect on the base. I just got my new Creality K2 plus witch has a 350 mm x 350 mm x 350 mm plate so I plan on merge the 2 half's and print as one piece
@@ScootJockey745 yeah it really will save you aggravation. Really helps me a lot. Make sure you use it in a well ventilated area. The fumes arent good to breathe in. Thanks for watching and I really appreciate your kind comments
@@Iskelderon thanks so much. That sounds great. I was actually considering doing the scene of Sarak arriving on the Enterprise from Journey to Babel but went with this instead
@@InterstellarModeler Look into worm gear drives or geared motors, you could even make the turntable for projects like that functional or use a stepper motor, if you're not bothered by some Arduino basics.

Very cool Oggie! "You've brought our furry friends down on us!" One of my favorite episodes.
@@joemallen1409 lol….less analysis and more action, that’s what we need! lol. Such a classic ep. Thanks for watching
It turned out really great. Especially in 1/72 scale.
Bigfoot is sometimes confused with Sasquatch,
Yeti never complains.
Merry Christmas to all.
