Thank you SO much! Trying to put a logo on a shirt has never taken me this long! LOL I watched your video and basically it was the weight. I put my knee on the iron, and BAM! My shirt is DONE! :) thanks again!
So glad I found this video. I always use my ironing board (which has a soft cover) and my iron ons NEVER stay on. My husband and I just ordered a heat press machine from Amazon to be here in a few days. I'm hoping that might help with the staying on. I only do shirts for the grandkids and some adult family members.
I've tried layering HTV with a home iron and I am not sure if I have my iron too hot but it melted the bottom layer. Could you do a video on layering HTV with an at home iron?
Don't know if you ever got your answer, but I've just found this video and a tip for layering is don't do the full amount of time on the first layer, do it just enough to stick so you can remove the carrier sheet and then apply the second layer for the full time
My glitter melted off. My glitter backing melted. Some of the backing melted into the shirt. My iron hates me... UGGG. I had it on linen though. Then I watched your video. I turned it down to perm press and it worked great. But now my shirt smells all burnt... and I have the Mark's on it from the glitter backing that melted into the shirt. Gonna try a knockout with a heart and the words that just melted off to cover the mistake. Pray with me. All hands in ny direction. LOL.
Where do u get your Ragland’s at? I’d like to find a great company w/ a great quality of all different kinds of tees? I can’t wait till I get my Flat Iron❤️💯🙌🏼🙌🏼 Thanks for sharing 😘
i know this is an older video but have you seen the new cricut heat press called easy press that just came out? it's a 9 by 9 iron basically but is heavy enough to handle htv now. I'm sooo curious to see what any one else thinks about it ?
I've watched many videos on using a regular iron to get many points of view and everyone says use cotton setting like you but you are the only one that says to put that amount of pressure. Everyone else says "some" pressure but too much is not good. Why do you feel you need to put ALL your weight to make the vinyl stick?
How come you didn't have to peel the backing paper off at the end? You just took up the cover sheet and the backing paper was gone - already peeled off.
I have been using an iron since I started making vinyl tshirts..I have never put this much pressure on my iron..I use a table top ironing board. I do however have my iron set to highest setting on cotton..I iron like she does but no pressure..I do the second press after taking off transfer sheet then flip shirt inside out and press again...I've never had any complaints with my vinyl coming off with my customers..nor with the ones I make for myself...I wash and dry them..

That's nuts, I've never had to put that much pressure with my home iron and I've never lost anything from a shirt.
Thank you. I was wondering about the technique for using a home iron to apply the HTV.
Thank you!! I followed your video and my shirt and onesie I made turned out amazingly!
Thank you. I feel less insecure after watching you do it. Hope mine comes out ok. Fingers crossed :)
When using an iron I get marks on my shirt from the corners of the iron. What have you found to be the best way to remove them when finished?
You seriously just saved me money for my birthday outfit 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘.
what did you put between the t shirt? cookie sheet?
Parchment paper (Teflon sheet)... same as cookie sheet
How does the htv applied with a household iron hold up after washing and drying?
The best thing to do is wash and dry your piece of clothing inside out.
Hi Betsy! I love your tutorials! You do such a great job with your videos. I am curious as to if you press your shirt from the back also?

Pressure is extremely important if you want it to last through washing.
