I made a pvp class for it before lol. Actually managed to get a kill on someone actually trying. But unlike what someone else said, it’s not better than you think. It’s basically what you think it is…garbage.

I’m gonna recommend the Miquellan Knight Sword. Unique opening R2, Faith scaling, Sacred Blade AoW, pretty fun stuff when dual wielded with something like.

Hey chase could you try the beastman's curved swords? They have a unique jump r2 that you might like :)
Another vote for beastman’s curved! Strength curved swords are rare. These are nice as heavy, cold or bleed infused on strength. Their unique jumping R1/R2 almost suggests they were built to fight with a shield or 2handed.

First off great vid man as always.
So the other day I got excited to see that the un altered banished knights armor was getting love w/knights greatsword, but I said it was my exact load out except haslows helm. Well I hopped back on and I actually have the veteran knights greaves on to match the red on the helm just to clarify lol. Oh and Chace thank you for getting me into the Claymore such a beautiful weapon.

Bro, I'd love to see a showcase of the ornamental straight sword, it's a paired weapon a la DS3 and it's a dex beast, and, it's ash of war buffs the weapon and changes it's R2 moveset
Hey Chase, i would love to see you use the Zamor Curved greatsword, it has an interesting moveset that i find realy hard to master, but it looks awesome and has a cool WA "Altough it could be hard to hit in a duel"

I think it'd be cool if you used pots according to the damage you're doing ie throwing rot pots for the rotten swords or freeze pots for weapons that do frost. You always amaze me with the random pot throws and you would have rotted way more people if you had them this time around. I hope we can see you wreak havoc with the brick hammer soon! Super powerful weapon no matter how you infuse it and fun to dual wield! Cheers.

I've been using the Flamberge with blood tax and it's kinda fun. Nobody, *nobody* uses blood tax, so it actually lands sometimes if you catch someone by surprise.
I just beat Elden Ring and my two weapons were a Cold Cane Sword and a Rotten Crystal Sword, simple but effective cx
11:40 I'm glad you let those guys (tried to let them) fight the dragon first. I've been there a number of times with a host and an invader almost always spawns in and a lot of them use Bolt of Gransax and just 1 shot snipe the host. ChaseTheHonorable

@@chuckmastacheese I generally go looking to fight the fair fight and most people I invade immediately try ganking me with rivers of blood or moonveil. But boilprawn shack has been great lately for solid invasions

an easy boost if you had enough room for weight is the heavy mushroom helm, extra attack damage after rot sets in. Combined with the rot talisman, similar overpowered-ness to most bleed builds. These swords have insane AR for how fast they are

My next weapon vote will always be Loretta’s war sickle. It’s objectively the worst halberd but still an ok weapon. The looks carry it alone.

I wonder if you've ever considered talking about your opinion or giving a score for some of your weapon showcases. It's hard for me to fully understand how good these weapons actually are when I rarely see you lose PvP fights, but you've got to have ones you prefer over others, and ones that you feel are just more powerful in PvP vs invading situations. Even between weapons in the same type, there are some that are simply better, whether it's a unique Ash of War, better reach, some unique attack pattern, or even just that the scaling is better. I'd love to hear what your opinions on those are.

Honestly this weapon actually looks really sweet just in design. That plus decent damage, SS nice set and off busted scarlet rot make me really wanna hunt a pair of these down. Also excellent play as always
Yes, INT+scarlet rot is broken.
I really like dual straights. going for magic, sacred or flame art infusion also makes it possible to hide some seriously damaging spells to surprise people with.
Yep, and the faith and magic straight swords hit as hard as trucks when dual weld. (Crystal sword and coded sword).
weapon at 9:17 is one of the fire monks curved swords thats not the actual name but thats where you get that from.
I think maybe a few more invasions at the end would be nice in my opinion. They are usually my favorite parts of your showcases. Just a suggestion. :)
I think it would be cool to raise the duels to 8 and the invasion to 4, for 12 matches overall. Probably still quite manageable from time investment, but everyone gets 1 up :D

Chase! You should try out the Cane Sword. Not alot of people know about it, It's a straight sword with a unique rolling attack. Also when you buff it it looks like a lightsaber, so cool 😁

The Carian Knight Sword has a really interesting R2, it starts off with block frames and has great reach. Been a fav of mine recently, would love to see you mess around with it

Yeah the Carian sword is awesome, carian grandeur definitely takes timing to pull off though. AoW is basically a slower, weaker cousin of moonveil

The roll catches are insane with heavy just a brief half second pause plus the heavy stuns most of the time

Weapons showcased getting more and more interesting :D Since you're going for the unorthodox choices maybe try Zamor curved sword? It has a pretty unique R1 and really good ash of war. I wonder how skilled player like you would utilize it.
The biggest thing I noticed that is an issue with the game mechanics was when you did the 1st invasion. The host tried to jump attack you with RKR and instead he pointed to the other direction in the air. This happened bc the aiming in the game has an issue that never seemed to be QA'd, your target lock seems to pick from the furthest/mid range targets BEFORE it chooses ones that are close to you. The game decided he target was gonna be the dragon instead of you, even though you are right in his face. If you think I'm wrong, look at the position he was facing when he jumped and the purpose he put behind heading towards you. He was facing you and then just pivoted in the air towards the dragon's body/head after he tried to lock on to you. I absolutely hate it honestly, I noticed this in PVE with mobs and surprisingly bosses as well. Anyone can notice this right away when you go to a dungeon and have two or more of those imps on you, try to lock on to the closest one while the others are in view and you will more than likely target the 2nd closest or the furthest one instead.
Not only that, but trying to switch to the close target in lock on is borderline impossible, the game really wants you to target the further enemy
Maybe FS's thought is - you don't need target lock for close enemies. You should be able to free aim the enemies that are right next to you, but if you need to "aim" at something in the distance, you're going to use target lock? More advanced players (chase) seem less reliant on the target lock system than I was during my playthrough.
100 percent a controller issue. On a mouse it's not an issue.
Thats why I never bother with target lock on, unless I am using homing spells (which I dont). Lock on makes me miss more than it helps, and it also allows people to strafe attacks.

When you fought Ookami you connected the full spinning slash then landed an L1 afterwards, what a combo! He had to have just not rolled away right? No way that’s a true combo, that would be like Gotthard’s twin swords at launch broken.
def not a true combo... probably. he did get GB'ed so he was oos unable to roll out, so he got hit with the full combo and L1. The spinning slash sometimes does combo all the way through though.

I really hate that people can get invaded while fighting the field bosses, that is sooo frustrating.
