Hey
Can you put out the other 2 finding fishing lures videos please
DON'T MESS WITH THE TREE ORNAMENTS ... LOL
Wow, one of the only vids where a "cops called" title is warranted and you didn't use it. Cool video
We owe it to the environment to pay back for the lures we find by also removing all the line attached to them. I make it a habit to always take home some plastic trash everytime I go out and we get a better environment for the fish we love to catch and for ourselves.
I always pick up all the line find.
Odd that there is hardly any line attached to all the lures he finds?
Thanks to everyone picking up trash. Sometimes it feels like I am the only one picking up trash at my local lake.
@@funkymojo111 One day millions of starfish washed up on a beach. A lone boy was walking along the shore picking up individual starfish and throwing them back into the water. A man who saw him said "Why are you bothering, it makes no difference, there are still millions left on the shore?" The boy picked up another and tossed it back into the waves, saying "It made a difference to that one...."
I do the same; but, you can stow that Gaia-worship sounding baloney at the beginning.
oh aren't you a fn hero lol clap clap
I do the same thing here in Italy, it's so amazing retriving lures from the trees :) Love your videos😀
After your first video with the lure nabber 5000, you inspired me to purchase one as well. I can confirm it also works for steelhead floats and spinners that adorn the trees at my local rivers this time of year.
I'm going to get one for steelhead fishing as well.
@fishingfool2644 the bobbers I've gotten have paid for the lure nabber 5000, lol
They're awesome. I use some expensive (for me anyway) crankbaits for largemouth, they are deep divers, they run about 14 to 15 feet deep. I fish Lake Fork and am almost always fishing timber or stumps, that lure retriever has saved me hundreds and hundreds of dollars just in the last 3 years.
That's an 800 to 1000 dollar Smith & Wesson. If the cops find nothing wrong with it, get it back!
Cops would have never known.....!!
thought the same thing 🤣
i would have picked it up and took it home
It belongs to someone maybe they will track the owner
@dennist6905 Probably used in a crime.
When I was a teenager 40 years ago, we used to walk river shoreline after a high water event.... it's how we got started fishing... plus you get to see what is being used by other anglers.
years ago i had a favorite spot in the small river below a dam that was really great for fishing, i had one spot below some riffles that always produced trout and smallmouth bass and northern pike, all of a sudden one day several months later in that spot i would start snagging my baits on it and losing them which had never happened before, so next time i got snagged, i waded out and followed my line to where it was stuck, lo and behold, it was a bed mattress spring, somebody had placed it there because it wasn't hardly rusted at all, i dragged it out, collected all my baits along with other ones too, threw it in back of my truck to dispose of later, some people are just crappy to do stuff like this
Should have tossed it back in the water and used it to pick free lures off every now and then.
@@banjohappy hahaha smarty
Cool video! I don't know if you have one already, but an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner with a bit of jewelry cleaner solution should remove a lot of the caked mud and dirt from those lures pretty easily. I use them for watches that I sell, as well as the occasional fishing lures that I find, too!
I find wrapping some netting from an onion bag around the end of the pole works well too. Easy to snag treble hooks
I've found that magic eraser pads under warm running water really scrub that caked on dirt and moss easily. Maybe two minutes per lure, and they look new if they're not scratched and faded.
I have a place on a lake they pull down the lake every 5 years, they will be doing it this year so looking forward to doing this.
I’m gonna definitely have to do this sometime and keep my eyes peeled more when I’m out fishing! Nice work and good finds !
This summer I went diving and found a big tackle of premium trout lures, another tackle tray full for my buddy, and both of us got trays full of sinkers. Lol. I think I must have over $1000 worth of lures. Most were in good to great conditions. Can't wait for next summer. Lol. Don't even have to buy lures this year bc they are premium from Pathers to Roosters to Kastmasters to Megabass to Ryukis to Joe's Fly to Thomas....you name it, I have it.
Niceeee, and thanks for the links ...pole and boots
Drain just about any lake in America and you could load up on lures. Start your own tackle shop. After all the decades of fishing in America, so much tackle is at the bottom of lakes and rivers.
Finding lures & helping to solve murder mysteries. Great channel!
It's a revolver, looks like S&W on case. I'd guess .357 or .44 mag..?? Big bucks though..cool.
Yes, it looks like a panic ,knee jerk, chunk it,situation. 👮
@@johnmorganjr769 I think someone stole it and then panicked.
Good haul for one lake, i go around to a couple lakes throughout the year and i have collected around 50 crankbaits. Nice gun too lol
I love to go tackle shopping at the creek.
This video looks like an award winner!
2:10 i built a 30 ft pole to get lures out of trees it's a telescopic pole from Europe
Wow you know your baits
While you're at it, take the fishing line as well.
Lmao! Gotta love all the lures in the trees!!
Please recover the fishing line too.
I learned the hard way long time ago to wear hard sole boots doing that lil trick. Lots crap buried in that muck and sand that goes right through soft soled shoes.
I do this at the rivers around my house. I call it, “goin shopping”
Love these series
I've caught a lot of trees over the years but could never reel them in. I even caught an island once.
Oh yeah I caught a fountain in the middle of a pond like five different times 😂
Your right on the muck boots,I do metal detecting, the rubber short and the material above rubber part leaks, need higher boots,I found some nice fire man boots, comfortable. Nice video.good eyes.
Should’ve kept the gun. It’s a drop gun. Perfect for a hit because it cant be traced to you.
Yeah this guy needs to do a hit on someone 😂
You're talking like we all live in the sopranos television show 😂
I'm an old man bait and bell type fisherman for the most part.. I can't sling a lure all day like I could as a teenager..
.
I've found the secret to catching more fish is picking up trash.. Went to a new lake one day.. Got the rods out, started picking up trash (and free sinkers).. We got 2 4lb Golden Rainbows within half an hour. I had never seen or heard of one before.
.
Sometimes you don't catch fish, and on those days the fishing gods still smile for you for picking up trash.. Free rods and reels, good tackle haul, bells, good rope, occasionally a good lawn chair.. Sometimes a nice dog toy. Always find the best stuff on days I get skunked.
.
Went to the lake one morning, and we were doing pretty good, maybe 8 fish in an hour or 2. Nothing fancy, Carp, Drum, a few cats.. A guy comes over from a camp site about 100 yards away and asks what we're using.. Worms... He'd been there all night, all morning, him and his friend hadn't even got a hit.. But they were throwing their trash on the ground, I was picking it up. That's the only thing we were doing different.
.
I haven't bought a sinker in 3 years, and I've lost a lot of them.
.
Great idea for a video. New sub from my channel to yours. Love finding lost lures- I used to do it with a snorkel in the river- hmmmm maybe I'll do a video... Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing your future adventures.
retitle,
I found a murder weapon in a drained lake?
and maybe the video will go viral
That was actually
Pretty cool man I liked it
My local fishing spot and trees all around it and I’ve lost a few lures because of trees. Might just end up going on a treasure hunt myself lol
I used to fish below Pickwick near Couce Tn. The lakes flow would be turned off on Sunday morning. I would search the rip rap and always find lures😂👍👌
I love it brother!
Are you retrieving the line? Don't leave it
Glad you said that bro, watching him walk away from all that line makes my stomach churn
Go get it then
This video is so cool!
Lures like these sell well at garage sales.
We are different people: that little surprise would've come home with daddy!
Nice dude, I've found some cool lures in the drained lakes.
Great finds!
Great video allways look forward to these...
17:09: They make a bigger plopper (the 190)
Great for discs..!!
I'd have kept it.
That smith&wesson magnum 44 would have went home with me!!
it went home with the cop
wouldnt it be illegal cuz of the vin? i dotn know anything about guns so bear with me
@@miniiswayy If they checked the serial and it came up as stolen, then he'd have to surrender it. Most lake guns I'd assume were ditched weapons, however this was still in the case, so possibly legitimately losed.
Ordered those amazing boots~~
The gun was a surprise LOL
Daaaamn snagged a Provoke 106x! I have that same one! Smallmouth love it
YOU NEED A BIGGER TACKLE BOX NOW. LOL.
Spinnerbait hung up in the top of a tree. I must have fished that lake.
I found a bolt action hunting rifle buried in the mud of a beaver dam once. Looked to me like a Remington 700, maybe in .30-06. It was in pretty bad shape. No scope. No telling how it got there, or if it was loaded. I gave it to the state troopers. They probably just trashed it. I doubt it could have been salvaged. Made for a good story, though.
Rapala lure would be crazy find
Dude! Great haul. I’m going to try on a 2000 acre lake they are draining to fix dam.
Tackle box tour next video?
What gun?
You should give an update on the gun that’s so interesting
Can I get some Sammy of Luckycraft ? kidding .. haha..
idea for your next intro, do what you did here but walk around past the camera a couple times then look toward the camera and be confused tilting head yada yada, pick up the camera and look around and ask "what are you guys doing here? Hmm, well might as well come with me!" youre welcome. Hey btw I have been playing disc golf for about 20 years! Just got a second shot ace two days ago!
People actually do this 😂😂 I started doing this at the river here where I live the water changes significantly up and down so when it's down I try to go out fish a bit walk around and I would find pickerel rig weights left right center I have so many weights lol I'm gonna open up my own store soon 😂😂 but I ended up getting hooked into it I moved locations every once and a while.. I have crank baits rattle baits and all sorts of other cool lures hahaha I haven't bought a lead weight in years now lol
hey nice work! :) what would you recommend for getting lost lures in a wharf/dock area? ive had ideas of diving down but you may know of some way of retrieving them.. maybe like a snag rig to run it across the bottom maybe?
Do you also remove the old fishing line, trash ect.?
Very few of these lures have any line attached?
You should take some disc golf videos too
10:39 thats a megabass popper very expensive snag
i found a trolling hook brand new not opened super clean on shore
How do you clean the lures you fond
WHAT DO YOU DO WITH ALL THOSE LURES YOU FIND
I know a lot of people are commenting on keeping the gun. All is well unless it has been reported stolen and you get caught with it. They might not believe your story that you just happened to find it in the lake. You might also need to have a good alibi if it is connected to a murder.
What happens if i find an abandoned gun and keep it and go about my day, how much trouble would i get into?
Well if the gun is a murder weapon you would get chaprged for murder since its in
your possession
You look like the CEO of disk golf
How high was that water?Thats a lot of lures way up in the trees.
I've been fishing a long time, and never have I seen a lake that's drained in the winter. Why do they do that?
All these lures in the 'trees' is alarming...hahahahaha
is that a mammoth tooth in the bottom left corner at 13:11 and 13:17?
My landlord drained his fishing pond I did find a spinner bate the hook was rusted off so I used the prop for a homemade lure
Please tell me, you cleared all that line up from the xmas trees, tell me you didn’t just take the lure and leave it polluted?
What’s your favorite Disc golf course out your way? We normally don’t head past Findley Disc Golf Course but I spend a week out in cedar point every May for my kids baseball tourneys.
We should fish more often with worms and maggots.
Do u use them to cath something by jourselg
How much is that diss golf grader thing cost
I'd like to see a follow-up video on the gun. I bet the department knows nothing about it.
Yes, finders-keepers but a possible ditched weapon/firearm could help solve a crime -depending on the diligence of the local authorities. Before it’s put through ballistics, the officials would have to break it down for a full cleaning thus saving you the expense, IF the laws allow you to repossess the gun once it’s not found to be linked to a crime. That said - I don’t think a criminal threw a cased gun away (at least not a smart one)…or…wait a sec! Let’s think about it…what if the proposed perp is a criminal GENIUS and knows 1)the lake gets drained yearly and 2)many people finding a cased gun just assume it fell off a boat and then obliviously walk off with a murder weapon-that if ever discovered, draws suspicion to the finder years later on a “cold-case” file? Okay, sorry folks…I gotta’ submit this to the writers of Law & Order or some show like that. I think the guy did the right thing and not the selfish thing .
Cool vid,you got a new subscriber here..
Clean them up and resell them on e bay.
How do u Find them UP a tree?
A criminal would never go around keeping a gun in its box......and the cops are just going to destroy it.....i would have kept it....i am sure its rusted beyond repair
I never found expensive lures, most lures I found 99% are under $6 like Strike king xd or rattlins. I fish mostly with lures over $20 Deps, Megabass, Issei, OSP and never found those Japanese brands.
Nice, do you do fishing TH-cam full time? Is it a good source of income?
Why was the lake drained? What state? Name of lake?
No brainer, call the cops. You can get it back if no one claims it.
You have to specify that you want it back after a serial check, otherwise your surrendering it to the police.
How do they drain a lake?
I find that a lot ofnthe onesni find have a snap swivel.
that revolver is now in that cops personal collection.....
Standard
Awesome finds! It would've been nice to see you collect some of the line you came across. 🗑♻️
YOU MIGHT FIND ENOUGH TACKLE, THAT YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO BUY ANY THIS YEAR
