    Those wheels are actually very nice than regular one. Different but Good. & This pony lite package is just beautiful as 'Stang.

    I just purchased a 2023 GT premium and both of my over 6 foot tall sons wanted to come on the six hour ride to pick it up. I traded in my 2013 V6, so that meant one of them was riding in the backseat both ways. The 2023 definitely had less headspace, and one of my sons did have to lean sideways the whole six hour ride home. It was completely their choice to come. They knew they were getting into. Lol

    • @CarsWithSteve

      HAHA they must have known what they were in for but that must have been hilarious. Bit more power in that new ride too.. how are you liking is so far?

      @@CarsWithSteve I’m loving it! This is my 3rd Mustang and first GT. The power and sound are amazing! I had to wait until I didn’t have any teenage drivers in the house so I could afford the insurance.

      Big differences in power and some tech too. The ventilated seats are great during the summer! Enjoy the ride and happy holidays

  • @louism8217

    I had my teenage daughter and her friend in the back of my Ecoboost with no issues when she graduated from high school, front facing seats were no issue for fitment, or placing a child in one (in fact one of the mechanics at the dealer took a picture of the seat to prove to his wife it was doable lol), and I had a rear facing seat in it, and I don't really suggest one as it is the placing your child in one that becomes the challenge.

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've only seen car seats in a Mustang once and they were front facing. So true about rear facing though. If you somehow manage to get one in there.. best of luck getting the kid in and out 🤣

      Good call on the tweaks you're going to make! There's a guy in the local Mustang club who threw a supercharger and some other parts in his GT and is dyno'd higher than the GT500 haha. Some people want the name, other people just want the power

    Correction: pressing the clutch when using cruise control doesn’t cancel the cruise control itself, only pauses it to let you shift. It continues on it’s own once the clutch is released. Great video!

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting. I was in a 2022 GT last year and had to re-engage adaptive after I pressed the clutch. Now I have to try it again haha. Just another reason to hop in another 6 speed GT

    • @mederic999
      @mederic999 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are right, I am able to downshift to 5th at 60 km/h, only stepping on the brakes disengages the adaptive cruise control.

    • @shaquansounds
      @shaquansounds ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CarsWithSteve I was surprised myself! I’d watched what seemed like hundreds of videos of the car prior to purchasing my 2022 last month and caught that tip in one of them. Car just got broken in last weekend so I used the cruise for the first time this week and lo and behold it worked. I’d definitely use that excuse to get back in a GT!

  • @louism8217
    @louism8217 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The Ecoboost is the car you need lol, the GT is the one you really really want, if you get an Ecoboost I recommend the 10 speed and optional packages for convenience (upgraded stereo drive modes etc), maybe get a premium, I have driven but not owned a GT..and it is tough, the 10 speed is faster and better on fuel, the 6 speed is more fun. The sound is what truly sets them apart from Ecoboost, since you really cannot safely drive them to the limit on the street. Passing a semi truck in an Ecoboost will put you well over the speed limit before you are past the trailer with the 10 speed, so the GT would be going very fast at that point, mostly I missed the V8 sound from the Ecoboost I had.

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha need vs want is so true and really good points you bring up about the fuel economy vs fun factor. All things that people need to consider looking at EcoBoost vs GT. They're both fun to drive for their own reasons

    Hi Steve! I was almost there to got a 2023 gt premium yesterday but saw your video on the performance package of a 2021 mustang. nvm, I'm wondering whether there will be differences between ordering a 23 GT premium performance package from US AND from Canada, keeping all other options/packages the same. Thanks!

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! No differences between the Canadian and US Performance Package outside of the pricing. All the options would be the same!

  • @mat13174
    @mat13174 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The PP is a nice option, but like you mentioned, unless you plan to track it, it may not be worth the several thousand dollar bump in price. My 21 does not have the PP package, I decided on the 401a package instead. I just added the factory strut tower brace separately, along with the upgraded factory 19” polished wheels.

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly! I think that's a question not many people ask themselves when looking at the PP. Piecing out smaller upgrades like you did is a great idea if you don't need it all

    • @mat13174
      @mat13174 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@CarsWithSteve that’s exactly what I did. I knew my expectations of the car going in and to me, saving the approximately $6000 was better spent elsewhere like the 401a package, active exhaust, B&O sound system, and the upgraded tire and wheel package. My younger self may have done the reverse and gone with a lower content trim and add the PP package. It’s all a matters of personal preference

    • @louism8217
      @louism8217 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I added the strut tower brace and the firewall brace, plus hood struts to my Ecoboost. Made a huge difference to handling, and for a fraction of the cost!

    What is the best Mustang model? 2019 or 2022

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 2019 - 2021 models have the 5.0L Coyote that wasn't de-tuned so it has 460 horsepower/420 lb-ft of torque vs 450 hp/410 lb-ft torque in the 2022 - 2023 models. Similar feature sets between them too so on paper the 19-21 is better but you can gain those lost points back with an ECU tune or cold air intake

    • @mat13174
      @mat13174 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Out of the box, pre 22 due to the reasons pointed out by Steve, especially if you don’t want to go through the process of having to tune it to bring the 22 up to the same power levels of the 19-21. It’s not a huge difference, but just pointing out

    Dodge charger or Mustang?

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a tough one and I'm working on a video comparing them now haha. The Charger Scat Pack has a 6.4L Hemi V8 that outperforms the 5.0L Coyote on paper and has a very similar price point to a fairly loaded GT Premium. But.. the 5.0L Coyote is also in the base GT which outperforms most lower trims of the Charger (SXT, GT, R/T) and comes in at a similar or cheaper price point depending on how it's built

    • @louism8217
      @louism8217 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think I've had a lot of cars! Had a 2014 Charger SXT, and a 2019 Mustang Ecoboost. The Charger was more comfortable in the back seat, and about the same up front, the controls are laid out better in the Mustang, and the Mustang has better handling. The Mustang was markedly quicker and felt lighter to drive. The trunks are fairly close in size, but the Charger wins on access. The Charger has more presence due to its size, and both were pretty fun to drive. I run winter tires and both were good in the snow (believe it or not!), the slippery drive mode in the Mustang really helps with this.
