Great video Marianne! Thanks for the tip re Block, Model and Detail. I've been trying to figure out something similar with placement, arrangement and then finishing but modelling and detailing seem so much more apt. The new studio looks gorgeous :-)

Marianne, I’ve always preferred the Native American view of Ravens over the European view. They are gorgeous in color and very intelligent. Anyone with a sense of humor can appreciate a unapologetic trickster 🤣. You have painted a lovely tribute. The explanations of your technique are wonderful. Thank you for sharing, I so enjoyed this video!
lovely paintings...you have reminded me that painting the landscape is just as rewarding instead of painting people where I do well...but not well enough. I find many criticize less the landscapes but are much harsher viewing figures. You have to be really good anatomically and skilled at the nuances of the skin, eyes, ears, hands, feet....well you get the idea. I have enjoyed this very much. Thanks

My mind was blown when I learned about this too!!! I used to use black all the time. But there’s still sooooo much to learn about colour that I haven’t yet tapped into. I teach a limited palette to start but there are so many different limited palettes out there.

Thank you for the tips. You are a gifted teacher. Please slow down your on screen captions. I found it difficult to enjoy and learn from you when I was struggling to follow the time lapse, listen to your voice and absorb the additional pro tips. Maybe it's just me. Beautiful, inspiring painting
