Piper's destiny changes forever in this episode. She becomes the big sister, the protector, in her own way. A role that is both unnatural for Piper and very coherent given the events. I like her evolution. I always thought that Shannen Doherty's departure had seriously damaged the series in the long term (except this season 4 which did a very good job considering the circumstances), but this event still had two advantages: the arrival of Paige who is a good character, and the evolution of Piper who becomes even more interesting.
Piper is the overall best Character of this Show she is everything. She is the one with most not scandals after the show, she is just normal and lovely
20:46 Piper was upset that Phoebe caused Prue’s death. That’s one of the reasons. If Phoebe hadn’t gone down to the underworld to save Cole, Shax wouldn’t have taken the chance to kill Prue, Piper and the doctor.
That's not the case. Phoebe speculated it was (even though she didn't do anything wrong), but it turned out Piper was angry at Prue for recklessly endangering herself.
@@rtozier2011she did do something wrong, she literally abandoned her sister's during a time that they needed her causing one of them to die permanently. That's why she brought it up because of her guilty conscience. Cole should not have been her priority that day. She had every other day to try to save him, yet she chose that day of all days to save him.
@@neishawnjohnson7602but they didint need Phoebe. What went wrong was Prue fucked it all up. The only reason piper was saved was because Phoebe made a deal. What went wrong was them not getting to Prue on time. God y’all slow
@@randocommando6355 first off you're the only one that's slow here. Leo literally said the spell required the power of three. Prue didn't do sh*t that they haven't done before. Phoebe was the reckless one because she was the one who had a vision and didn't give them enough time to learn more on shax. Despite knowing all of that, she CHOOSES Cole over her own sisters and goes to the underworld when that shouldn't have been the priority then, WHICH LEAD TO THEM BEING SEPARATED AND CAUSED PRUE'S DEATH!!!! especially when her going to the underworld took Leo away to where he's unreachable. It's not hard to comprehend. That's why they all survived the first time because Phoebe and Leo was there. All you're doing regurgitating things that we already know and talking out of your a**.
The scene that piper crying prue death hurts the most 😢because Shannen Doherty passed away from cancer i still can't believe she's no longer with us but I know she's not in pain so she can rest peacefully, rest in peace Shannen
Great reaction! This is one of my favourite episodes. Holly was amazing in this one. As you said, it had a nice balance of being heartfelt and goofy while still dealing with the Prue situation. As uneven as the show may sometimes be, I want to give them credit for how well they handled Shannen's exit who was arguably the star and face of the show. I also really loved the characterisations and dynamics between all the characters, especially in the first half of this season.
10:26 A digital camera would likely not work any better than a photocopier because the copier uses a camera to produce the copies. I'm sure the magic which is protecting the book wouldn't allow any sort of mechanical reproduction.
I think I said it on another video but I’ll say it again. I saw this show from start to finish like 128329 times, and everytime Holly cries I cry. That woman is an amazing actress
She has a gift when it comes to emotional scenes like these. This might be her best scene so far when it comes to raw emotion. I love it, but it's heartbreaking. 😊
6:39 Phobe is not the middle sister. Paige is only her half sister. It seems like no one of this writers on this show where in a patchwork family or had a family of 3-4 siblings where they grew up. Season 4 let's go 😐
@@BernardJKD Please read my comment again and think before you post something? A family is not a work place (strict hierarchy). It's private. Just because Prue died doesn't suddenly mean Phoebe get's "promoted" to second sister (always third). Charmed has deep themes - especially later that's a good joke. Thanks for the laugh
Charmeds theme is based off the relationship of specifically "three" sisters with a chronological difference in age. This is an important aspect in the show because it represents the harmony amongst the three sisters working together despite the different lifestyles and backgrounds each sister had due to their age difference. Phoebe once being the immature and reckless one, now developed to be a more a sensitive and caring sister like how piper was. Piper now forced to be the stronger and wiser one due to prues death and having to deal with a new younger sister, paige, who is still naive. So, technically, they were "promoted" in a figurative sense, to different roles, due to their character development, and it kind of does work as a heirarchy based on each sisters varying levels of experience. Piper, the eldest one now, seems to be wiser than the other two and can't tolerate paiges immaturity, phoebe now plays the role of being in the middle. Each sister mentors the other from eldest to youngest, so that's essentially a heirarchy.
Being a half sibling doesn't minimize the sibling relationship, especially if the siblings choose to have a relationship. Phoebe is a middle child now!

Or maybe you have zero grasp of the theme of found family explored throughout all of Charmed nor seemingly can you count.
