- Hope this one helps anyone just getting into parametric eq's. They're a little confusing to begin with but really cool to learn! I've had a fair few over the years and Master Effects EQFH seems to be the one I like the most.

To install them on your katana mkii, the easiest way is to drag the downloaded files to your desktop.
Open up the tone studio with your katana connected and go to the top right corner and click the down arrow. Locate your file and it'll bring it into your library where you can drag them across to the katana :)

I got the Empress ParaEQ MKII Deluxe after watching that video. Now I realize he uses Master Effects products more. Oops oh well. This paraeq is really good.

Annihilator is one of the most underrated bands out there. Jeff Waters is a genius. Alison Hell is incredible. Amazing tones as usual!
Jeff is a beast and has a very unique approach for the rhytmic parts too...he almost does pinch harmonics when riffing...another one who does this is Shaune Kelley from Ripping Corpse and Dim Mak.

Lamb!! I just acquired a Randall rg40 head from the 80s running mxr six band and eqfh into front it’s literally Dimebags sound it’s insane! Your videos were huge I. Helping me dial the tone

I put my PMEQ behind my EQFH and I was very pleased with the tone. Not sure what it does but it sounds great !
Love using my MXR 6 band EQ just enough to get the missing mids and a boost in the lows for that chuggy bass sound. Good video man.

It would be amazing to see a similar video from you, but about tweaking an amp's eq. How to adjust the bass/mid/tre/presence/depth/master etc. A cherry on top could be how to adjust mic positions, especially when using a cab simulator.
Not many videos on this out there, and from you this would be gold from some people (me included :) ).

Just used the parametric eq from my Helix in the loop of my Super Crush 100, completely changes that amp, it also improves the built in speaker emulation
Geez, thanks for playing the best period of music in my life as your demo licks! Sometimes being old is great. My Empress parametric is an essential pedal. The only ‘problem’ is that I like what it does no matter what I tweak , I wish it had presets. heh! The high gain distortion is essentially a wall of broadband noise and unless you shape it with EQ you don’t get badass metal guitar tones IMHO.

that's a great question bruh
They all should give similar results. It’s how the behave when frequencies overlap that matters. I like the standard EQFH that I used in this video but it’s also what you’re used to and the taper of the pots, the layout. It all seems to work for me with this one
I’m looking to get another eq for my Mesa boogies, I’m always after those Metallica tones and already have the pmeq but I want to shape my tone a little more, what master effects eq do you recommend? I’m leading towards the standard eq from hell.
Perfect, it’s my favorite. Gets the Justice tone really close through the boogie

Any idea if the EQFH differs from Guptech's pPTSD - Parametric EQ? 🤔 They seem to be identical. Only a big price difference...

A question: How would you connect the EQ, and keep the Boss NS-2 in the FX Loop too?
I'd like to have EQ in the FX Loop on DSL20HR to also use it as a Master Volume (See 2:45 th-cam.com/video/te-Z6oC8HiM/w-d-xo.html ).

So my peavey vypyr x2 doesnt have an effects loop (i dont think). There IS a midi input in the back for the proprietary peavey sanpera pedal.
Im wondering if i got a midi to 1/4 adapter. Would the midi port act as "out" and "in" and act the same as an effects loop?
