Thanks for sharing. Just a thought - you could put a keyring or something on a little hook on the front pocket zipper once you have threaded it through the little ring. It would mean you have to take the keyring off the zipper whenever you wanted to open it but it would make it more secure.
I am considering purchasing this bag for myself, so thank you for the insight about using the bag instead of a safe for important documents. I would have thought, "Oh, I am carrying it with me. Surely it'll be fine since I'll have my bag on my body." I didn't think about what would happen after I put it down and leave it in a room like you did. I would probably forget to take out the important stuff and just leave it in the backpack, so thank you for sharing your thought process about why that could be dangerous.
I just got back from Greece with the same back pac .with the front zip I put it through the little material piece and then put a pad lock on the hole in the tag . It worked perfectly, I wasn’t at all worried

yeah water resistant but wouldn't trust it in a downfall
