I watched the whole thing, that was super interesting! Putting something like this together is so tricky and hard, cause there are so many little details to pay attention to. I really appreciate the work you put into this. Especially how you arranged the Dream Weavers segments. When I first saw a comparison like this for SM64 some years ago, I was thinking how cool it would be to have it for Spyro as well. Also worth noting imo, on the 3 segments with the most time lost to Comm Best (Nestor, Lofty, Loot) you didn't really *lose* time, you just *chose* to do a more consistent route/strat, to ensure the 1:20. Beautiful decision making in this run. The future of this category is gonna be interesting!
That's how all world record speedruns tend to be in games. Once you know you're on a WR or other goal pace, then it's foolish to try to make additional risks for unnecessary time saves. As a result, the next person adds one or two more, and so forth.
unfortunately its not really possible to keep track of best segments for any% due to the inconsistent gem counts. There is a TAS in the making, which will be very interesting to watch and there is also the possibilty of doing a human theory TAS, which would be better to compare to RTA runs.
