Kinda wished the sonic v shadow fight was longer to let them both get that rage out off each other. Would've made what happened afterwards more impactful imo.
The hockey player was Wade, Tom's coworker, you might have missed him in the last 2 movies. Not saying i recommend it, but if you saw the Knuckles series it makes more sense why Wade has the Master Emerald
Maria is Ivo's cousin. Gerald is their Grandfather. i would recommend replaying SA2 or Shadow Generations if you got some spare time. oh and Super Sonic vs Super Shadow was TOTALLY Goku vs Majin Vegeta
if you've watched or played any sonic media, sonic and friends fight in the vacuum of space all the time on a daily basis. even the final zones in the sonic advance games are in space, and I don't mean the extra zone boss fights, I mean the final zones. also sonic and tails can breath in space without the emeralds, they all can, in sonic x sonic even stands on the tornado's wing and gets frozen in space but is still able to breath and is only frozen temporarily til he breaks out of the ice with his chaos powers without the emeralds, just with a power ring. so idk why you think thats unbelievable geekdom unless you're reviewing this as not a sonic fan.
These movies just live in a weird place because they have references from older Sonic media and have moments of all ages laughs. But at the same time Sonic acts too childish to appeal to most pre Sonic Colors fans
The fact that we went from Gangsters Paradise to Live & Learn speaks volumes especially when a company cares about it’s image & listens to its audience
When you play any of the sonic games there are stages in space. Specifically in Sonic Adventure 2 where this movie is based on Sonic takes a fake chaos emerald and slams it into the eclipse cannon. In sonic the hedgehog 2 sonic falls straight from space and tails uses the Tornado(his plane) to catch sonic as the credits roll. Maria Robotnik is his granddaughter that’s how the story has been since Sonic Adventure 2. The movie doesn’t explain how Professor Gerald Robotnik lived to be 110. All he did was chew on Shadow’s old quill but idk 🤷🏽♂️

Every problem you laid out was either a joke (therefore shouldn’t be considered a complaint because subjective) or you applying specific logic to Sonic characters based on a lack of knowledge about Sonic in general. Some of the complaints were fair but far more were completely nonsensical. Plot wise this is the most consistent and well written of the trilogy. Not your best review I’ve watched but they can’t all be winners. Dropping a like regardless, keep up the good work.
Movie was honestly a little disappointing. Felt rushed. Sub plots needed more fleshed out. Not having Maria tell Shadow to why protect the world because she believed the world needed a chance and believed there was good in the world that deserves a chance.
