Use a concrete cut off saw and cut the broken concrete at 45* and do the other end also. It will look like it was planned and help resist further cracking when the next vehicle drives on it.
Just wanted to say thank you for helping me smile every time I watch y'all and even ur mommas channel too!! Y'all just keep on keepin on!! Love y'all and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! 🤠
8:51 you could add a window in front of the sink, plans permitting. It wouldn’t take much to frame that size window there and just add another one or sheet over the old rough out like it’s not even there.
Get plywood on the walls for shear strength - the pole barn can fall over sideways without any Shear strength. Can snap the guy wires and collapse the barn or shed structure. 6:33
So your saying that room upstairs of the dryer shack is going to floor to ceiling tv monitors and a swivel chair in the center for dougo to keep tabs on you guys 😂😂
that is going to be do great for Dad Chet he is not getting any younger an at his age he should not be going up top at any time. Congrats have never seen a family work so well together and so positive in this latest generation of yours Kodos to you and all
Always enjoy the information on new updates to farm management. Technology continually changes and it hard to stay up to date. Going to have a nice shop.
You should have a little out building for the compressor. You wouldn't believe how more quiet the shop will be . Then you are able to get more work done cause you can hear yourself think honest it works.
It’s a nice new shop. The way it’s made and where it’s made you can easily double the size of the building by making the same size or even bigger size shop added on to it to the side. So you got lots of options for the future.
the next time you have to replace bearing sleeves, leave them in the freezer over night first. It should shrink them enough to slide them in much easier.
Come on Chet get Dougo a lounge chair and big screen TV for that dryer shack.Hey you need to tell Zack Johnson about the grain bin monitoring system so he don't need the climb the bin ladders so much.
Chet, another channel I watch he builds post frame the same way either on a footer or on concrete piers and uses the chains to lock the building in and to square it up he and worker just finished a 96x304 building took them 39 day’s to build
Bump the wet wall out with a 2x4 so you don’t have to run the drain outside if you move the sink under the window. The wall will be deeper for more insulation and you’ll have a really nice shadow box around the window.
cut the cement off and pour a post footing. And also, you don’t pour concrete on on outside of building until construction is completed. Especially when you are going to have a porch that you can plastic off and heat up ground if needed.
Chet, I saw the floor drain, you have issues, Chet you should be able to see water moving around the floor drain Something is not right, it should be pouring out of the end of the pipe, after the watch is gone, I'd get two or three 5 gallon buckets and pour in the drain, I 'v been in construction a long time
For the truck issues you guys have been having lately, every year pick a truck and put a new set of injectors in it. One set per year isn't terribly expensive compared to the associated cost when they fail. After a few years, every truck will have new injectors and then simply start over repeating the process. Severe duty (farm) use is hard on those things. A little preventative maintenance can go a long way.
What the drain is going into a rock bed not a tank so it is going to take a while for it to drain off with an open roof during construction. That drain isn’t big enough to handle a rain like that.
Your lift has safety cutouts that sense pressure/height/weight boundaries much like a bucket truck/cherry picker. They are a pain and finicky but if you lighten the load mobility should improve.
OK, granted, I am a video engineer, so this is the type of stuff I do all the time, but hooking up an external monitor to that computer would be extremely easy literally mounting a TV on the wall and running a cable from your computer to the TV, you most likely will need an adapter coming out of your computer to get to the HDMI cable to the TV and a slight, little bitsy adjustments to the monitor settings but that's it, really easy. I have faith that between you and the rest of the guys you could figure it out, just don't involve Dougo until it's done, no one needs grief like that. Keep up the great work, happy holidays.
They just have to remember that for HDMI cables, you get what you pay for, and some HDMI cables lose signal strength. I believe LTT did some HDMI tests and those results should be on their webpage
On your grain bins for corn can’t you use a spreader to keep the level even then you’ll have that core in the mellow we used them on my dad‘s bins but they weren’t as big as yours
I don't like wood directly onto the concrete. I usually put something between the concrete and wood, to prevent condensation between those two and possible rotting of the wood for the forklift (elevator). In Norway, they are regularly inspected just like elevators. Still, it's your responsibility to get your equipment signed up on that inspection list that will go automatically by itself every year. And with all the forklift and shop crane, this should be a must. They inspect and fix problems. At my last workplace we had them schedule the inspections in late fall, so when they was inspecting they also changed our forklifts to wintertires, giving them access to joints behinds the wheels for their inspection.
3:00 Think the best fix would be to make a new corner by cutting a new straight edge all the way to the siding. Looks like you would only lose a few inches width wise.
You might want to move your driveway to a different location so that no one blows through the stop sign and ends up being in your yard, house, or lake. Maybe put up a double arrow sign.
I’ve been in the trades for 30 yrs and I always am asked to give exact dates on jobs! There is always delays and they’ve only gotten worse since Covid!

Appreciate the off-season videos Chet. Always interesting to see what you guys are getting into.

Looks like Doug did a great job with the dryer and the headache of varying moistures.
Shop is.looking good...Excited to see.the.new.house.is in the.plan.

Still better than television. 😊
Greatest channel on youtube!
Your building is coming together very nicely. Like that technology system on your new grain bin.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Chet...as for your lift to storage loft. Has anyone checked the hydraulic fluid level lately? Love watching Your post...keep up the good work!
On the broken concrete corner, have them cut it off on a 45 degree angle on both sides as small as ya can, make them the same :) :)

Fun hearing my Dad’s hometown Fergus Falls mentioned! 😁
Great video Chet Big Swede Dougo and Brody

like the look of your shed, can’t wait to see when it is finished!
That' shop building is a great start to your bomestead!
😮. I see the problem , the roof leaked😊

Congratulations Chet the hard work has payed off and Merry Christmas!
Welcome to chets lake. Great video again. Youve had enough engines go boom this year. Hope it goes better next year
Very nice building.
Radar for fill height - neat! :)
Real nice new building going up

Check your oil level for the Elevator to the loft. 0:58
Love the progress there Chate

Nice big in door pool!
Building is coming along great you can fix that corner it will just take some effort and time!!
I’m amazed how deep the water is inside your shed. However did the screeding of the concrete did a real bad job.
What the drain is going into a rock bed not a tank so it is going to take a while for it to drain off with an open roof during construction. That drain isn’t big enough to handle a rain like that.
Need to see Brody doing some Brody cleaning!!
Awesome video Chet 🚜🚜🚜
You are so talented, keep making videos!
Hey…. You have an indoor Hockey Rink this winter!
Chet, after the crane & new shop, I think it might be time to invest in a platform lift for the parts room.
Your lift has safety cutouts that sense pressure/height/weight boundaries much like a bucket truck/cherry picker. They are a pain and finicky but if you lighten the load mobility should improve.
Great video. Thank you
Make them dig up the concrete and pour a new slab.. also dig the footer deeper all the way around it. That’s what my neighbor did!
On the caterpillar NOR order picker the control cable that runs though the mast probably is bad and is giving you an intermittent problem.

Chet it was $600 for one of those to come out, lift up our Class A RV and change a front tire. $500 was a deal.

Coming along very nice
Chet when you go to put in cabinets that's when you rearrange your kitchen for the window
Good stuff guys
On fixing the CONCRETE. Contractor broke it so they replace the pad or deduct the cost from the final draw. Business!
Love it ..but may put floor down fisrt
Clean the electrical cables on the solenoids for the elevator…..the solenoid is chattering from low voltage.
Dougo high maintenance with the monster monitor thing.
Love your channel, to bad the concrete crew made your pond in the building
Good luck 9n the rest of build
Chet, the lift sounds and acts like it is low on hydraulic oil. Either that, or the wiring in the control handle is damaged. Both are a simple fix.
You might want to move your driveway to a different location so that no one blows through the stop sign and ends up being in your yard, house, or lake. Maybe put up a double arrow sign.
Hey, for concrete corner break might be able to drill hole, and pull it back together.🤔👍🏻
Love the vids boys!!! Lol
Very nice building chet
Amish built a 40x64x16 polebarn and was completely finished in 3 days with the building, no overhead doors.
Check out the new EBY hopper bottom trailer they are sweet and smooth sides with no ribbit showing
I’m always surprised how messy your control room looks for the grain bin site, compared to the workshop
Information is KING Chet
Cool ant it!!😊
FARM ON
Big things happening on Larson Farms!!!!
Another awesome video Chet always enjoyable to watch Looking forward to the next one
Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
Another enjoyable video 😊
Another great video from my favorite creator!
My experience is that most contractors who are putting up the building don’t give a rip about messing up your concrete.
I’ve been in the trades for 30 yrs and I always am asked to give exact dates on jobs! There is always delays and they’ve only gotten worse since Covid!
