20+ years drinking. Cried to God at around 3-4am while binging. Opened my bible and placed it on my chest while the tears rolled down my face. Woke up and never drank again. 4 years sober now. Thank you Jesus for breaking those dark chains.

Hey there brother, saw your comment and I just wanted to let you know that my husband is one year sober from porn addiction and three years free of tobacco addiction. He struggled with both for about 30 years. Nearly all his life. God has truly set him free! I am praying the same for you. You will have victory through Christ!
I had addictions galore. One by one they have been removed. It’s harder for some of us than it is for others though so don’t get discouraged friend
He will. The desire will vanish in time, but the temptation may always be there. You can do it through Him. Always admit to Him you’re struggling.
I was having a really hard time with that myself I have been saved for two years and I had seen God take it from other people but he was not taking it from me 2 months ago I asked God instead of helping me to take it from me now that's the only difference I think I could think of in my prayer the very next day I went to light up a cigarette and I said oh I prayed about this last night in my head I need to put this out I started having really bad pain afterwards and went into the hospital I thought I was dying my gallbladder was going out after 5days in the hospital I was ahead of the game and stopped smoking 🤣 God knows what it takes try to quit it will happen one way or another lol I'm thankful and feel great!
I remember listening to Korn when I was younger. I'm a Christian minister at the age of 34 today, for which I give God thanks... I'm grateful that God has brought this man out of the pit. Looks like He doesn't leave anyone behind.
Well, when Christ bore that cross knowing it was going to lead to his death... not a single person of their own merits was worthy and not one of us would be able to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. So when Yeshua shed his blood to conquer both sin and death, if there was even the smallest or minute amount of hope to save at least just one single soul... and considering none of us are worthy... could it also be possible that that miniscule bit of hope would be enough to save all souls? This isn't to say that everyone will be save because many will blatantly refuse him and there is no turning back from that once it is too late, but the potential for all to be save is there and that potential even as small as it is, because it comes from God himself, it is infinite it is grace, glory and power through both love and truth. Even the worst of us... including people like "hitler" personally I could bare to see them end up in hell... I don't want to see any human there!

rossikhan~ 🕊in 1998, I went to pick my 13 year old daughter up at her friends house, and I could hear they were playing korn on cds from outside. I went in and said who’s torturing that poor man? They said, it’s korn, they were abused by their mother when they were young, so they sing like this. I said, if God can use Joyce Meyers after her father abused her, then God can use a these men. So I started praying for them. Needless to say, In 2018, I cried when I saw Brian, here at Christ’s temple giving his testimony. What a reward, I’m still praying for many others. R Shuler maybe you did it! Maybe many did it. Maybe Brian himself did it. No, that’s not right. God did it, and all of the above did it too. But none of it was possible without god.
Nothing could get me sober from cocaine and booze. For years I tried the New Age movement, Buddhism, Hinduism, Paganism, Islam but nothing worked and my addictions got worse. Then I left my wife, got fired and lived in my car. I contemplated suicide but it was my sister who one cold night in February 2011 reached out to me. I had barely any gas in my car but I drove to her home, ate dinner and hung out with the idea of drinking all her husband's beer. She gave me a Bible and said read Psalm 51 right there in her livingroom. I got to the 4 verse and I just broke down and wept. She told me to keep reading and I wept through the entire chapter. A week later I accepted Christ into my life, I've been drug and alcohol free for over 10 years. It's been an amazing journey. I urge you to accept Christ into your heart today if you haven't already. Never the same. Blessings.

20 years ago I was a broken Christian addicted to meth. I went to a church camp high on meth and weed, desperate to get help. I was destroyed as a human being. God met me there at an alter call. I physically felt the wind of the Spirit. Then I was taken back to a painful childhood situation, like I was there and reliving it. Then when I was there, I heard God speak to me as that little boy and what he spoke somehow delivered me. I physically screamed and felt something leave my body. God delivered me from addiction and healed my underlying brokenness, which was rejection. I think the feeling of something leaving could have been a demon of rejection that had attached to that part of me. I have been a youth worker for 15 years, both for church and secular organisations, and I can say meth is one of the worst things destroying our young people and our communities . God bless

The bible says God laughs at the wicked. He's not laughing at the struggles especially of those that will come to Him. Because He knows them and is waiting patiently, guarding their souls. Look at Abraham when he lied to Pharaoh and Abimilech. The Lord let him stumble but had his back.

i can testify to this.....when i prayed to be released from my addictions jesus took the weight off of me almost instantly, i was able to quit alcohol and social media cold turkey with a single prayer itll be 6 years in october with no desire to drink again ....John 3:16

I'm a recovering IV heroin and coke addict(and whatever else I could get my hands on). I've been where you are. I got to such a horrible point in my life I just surrendered to God. Told him I'd do whatever He wanted just make me better. Long story short, get a bible and start reading the gospel (new testament Matthew, Mark, Luke and John). Pray before you read that God will help you to understand what you need/spiritual discernment. It's amazing what He will reveal to you. I'll pray for you. You can be joyous and content through the fruits of His spirit.

Oh my I had such love for him until I turned 15 or 16 I rebelled I was so mean to my mom also
Then I turned into my twenties .. it got worse I was becoming a new age hippy got into Wicca met two aliens and reptilians scary shit ever would feel evil presesence in my closet watching me for a long time even when I closed the closet curtain they still stayed and listened to me. Some reason I always had my door closed I was afraid yet I allowed myself to stay afaird I would have sleep paralysis a lot I felt two demon spirits trying to attack me I started saying Jesus help me inside my head it was terrifying!!!
I also heard two ghost children spirit laugh behind me as it was in the am why would children laugh and why would it sound like it's near my ears ? And I felt a dark presence close to my hospital bed too when that happened
I became depressed there's this one dude I met he was extremely attractive and made me feel alive again but he broke my heart where my depression worsened I became scene /emo as I was in middle school but in middle school I was like such a happy emo/scene chick but after as an adult and got my heart broken I became that but felt like poop.
Thankfully God saved me though
I am a Christian now and I love reading the Bible he has changed my wardrobe everything for the better

I've watched tons of interviews with Brian "Head" Welch over the years. They're all fantastic and quite moving. Despite being a rock star, he's extremely relatable, funny, and charming. He's been a huge inspiration to me over the years and has really helped me get closer to Jesus. His documentary is fantastic. If you haven't seen it, definitely check it out.

I fought asking Jesus to enter my heart my whole life. One night when I was 62 I decided, what will it hurt. My pride made asking him to be my savior very difficult. But I finally did it anyhow.
Pretty much immediately I just felt different and I knew I might be changed. Very shortly after that I knew I was changed. I love it. It's like I opened my eyes and saw reality for the first time.

I'm an alcoholic. And a veteran. I've been drinking my life away. I just want a way out. I know Jesus is the way and the light. I believe that. I don't know how to relinquish control. I hurt every day.
First of all, thank you for your service. I would suggest (that’s all this is, a suggestion) if you’re comfortable with it, go to church. Even if you just arrive after the service starts and plonk yourself at the back. Just go. Be around these people. The love and acceptance you will experience was what helped me take that first step. And there are so many options open to you. I’m a Brit currently in Fort Worth Tx and I was so shocked to find BIKER CHURCHES! ☺️💚 huge scary looking hairy dudes on Harley’s, praising in the name of Jesus. I personally am a skateboarder, covered in tattoos. Long hair. None of us have to look act or be a certain way to accept Jesus into your heart. You don’t have to throw yourself into anything. It’s not a sudden and drastic change if you don’t want it to be. You can and WILL find your own way.

This is my personal testimony.
I used to believe that I was super a strong lady, super smart, and capable of taking care of myself, and even though I have always been a believer, my faith in God wasn't as strong as it was in myself.
Two years ago I had a serious personal problem with my family, without going into details; at that point, my family was my God, they were the reason I live for, in other words, my "EVERYTHING", but due to the issue with them one day they ALL, everybody abandoned me, over the night... I was left without anything and anyone to talk to. Months passed by, on which I couldn't sleep, lost my appetite, and also my will to live. I pretended for a while that I was fine cus I was full of pride so I couldn’t admit that this time I wasn’t gonna be able to fix myself…until I couldn't take it any longer.
One night when the pain was unbearable, and desperation took over me, finally, I realized that I couldn’t keep living that way, so I started planning how to kill myself, I gave some thoughts to the idea because I wanted it to be effective and final, I needed to stop the pain but before I did it I got on my knee, very angry with God, at 3 something am, I screamed to God "IF YOU CARE ABOUT ME, DO SOMETHING BECAUSE I CAN'T DO THIS ANY LONGER!!!, I AM A GOOD PERSON AND YOU KNOW IT!!!
I CAN'T TAKE THIS PAIN ANY LONGER!!! I DON'T WANT THIS LIFE ANYMORE!!, IF YOU DON'T DO SOMETHING I AM!!!
IF YOU SAVE ME I PROMISE I WILL DEDICATE THE REST OF MY LIFE TO YOU!!!”
After this, all I remember comes to me like a flashback, I swear, I don't know how I got back to my bed( my last memory was been in my knee by my bed). Later on( I am not sure how long it passed), on this flashback I opened my eyes for a second and my room was full of extraordinary light, so strong I couldn't keep my eyes open, I was in a fetal position on my bed(I didn't need to see Jesus face because the love and peace that overcame me, that fulfilled my inner being was screaming his presence).
I woke up at 10:35am as A TOTAL NEW PERSON, I felt like I have lost a heavyweight I was carrying on, I was radiant, hungry, happy, and full of hopes and plans for my life... Jesus saved me! he cleans my spirit from evil desires OVER THE NIGHT! just the way my family forsakes me. I have been wanting to give my testimony for almost 2 years, I guess the Lord decided that today was the day, God is REAL people, He is, and all we have to do is to redeem ourselves to Him and ask for His help, He is waiting for us to do so, this is mentioned in the Bible on Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
We don't have to suffer alone, Jesus died for us, so we can live an abundant and long life.
To the Lord be the glory!

I read a magazine article that stated after he claimed he accepted Christ he later went back to play with Korn. In the article you could observed how the band satan drew him back there to the band. He felt he could serve Jesus and play with Korn???? The band's message is not anything to do with Christ. Whether he made it or not do not know but the devil was working over time God could seal him and circumvent protect him but, you can not serve both.

I wish I could recall the specific magazine where I read that article maybe I can find it. It made me sad. Welch was separated from the band for a time period regarding a riff; during this time he accepted Jesus. Subsequently, the disagreement between him and the other band member was resolved and he stated he missed playing his instrument and with the band.
I truly believe Welch probably doesn't realize pray for him.
You wouldn't go to a satanic ritual and risk being exposed to that environment assuming it is fine because your there to witness and be a light.
Jesus also stated: You can not serve mammon(world) and God; Come out from among them and be separate thus saith the Lord and Light has no fellowship with darkness.
I believe this young man had an experience with Jesus however, other members of that band are living a different, dark, very dark life style. He can witness to them outside of participating.
That music alone permeates without lyrics representation of satan.
It is equivalent to an alcoholic who is delivered going in a bar around temptation.
Again, I was sad when I read he was new in the Lord and believed he could continue in an environment where the very spirit is not of God pray for him.
Welch can have a tremendous influence on young people concerning Jesus. His age, experience, testimony leaving a band that propagates satanic influence, negativity and death.
My prayer is God saturates him protects him and makes himself more known to him that he grows in the knowledge and a relationship with Jesus.

@@debrastarr9147 I met him and got a picture with him when he signed the book he wrote. He said in his book God told him he could no longer play with Korn and he went back. You cannot serve two masters. I can't understand how you can go back to that kind of music when Jesus delivered him and saved him. You can say things but what you do will influence young people more than anything. He was very humble and his book Save Me From Myself is a great read. Pray for him.

Jesus saved me almost two years ago now and it’s been a very hard time still ever since. But at least I know I can trust in the Lord and I’m just counting on Him to pull me out of this. I have no money and I’m drowning in bills and even being saved and knowing I’m going to heaven I’ve been feeling like just giving up. I keep asking God to help me and give me a financial blessing to relieve this terrible anxiety. I have to keep praying and reading the word. And I’m just barely hanging onto Jesus for dear life.
