This is an absolutely fabulous performance by the two women. Lucia and Janet blend perfectly. In a fairly recent (Feb 2021) interview Janet Perry tells us that she also sang this duet with Barbara Hendricks. The conductor, von Karajan, thought their voices were a perfect match. Perry clearly felt honoured that she had been asked to sing this piece by von Karajan, even though she did find the Sop 2 part rather low in her vocal range.

Aspetto 32 anni di rivederlo ancora. L'ho ho visto 1981 live e poi registrato con il mio Mono MC Audio registratore dal Mono TV e ho ascoltato tanti volti fin'oggi questo MC e avevo soltanto 4 minuti sequenza da una biografia di Lucia del incarnato registrato a VHS 1987.
