Thanks for this wonderful video. I just tried using my ruffle attachment for the first time and put the stitch length on 4 like the instructions had said to do. My stitches were so loose so I ended up stitching over them on my sewing machine and then finished off the edges with the overlock stitch. I figured there had to be a better way so now I'm anxious to try it again and set my stitch length to 2. I also had problems keeping the fabrics together. So I'm anxious to try your method of holding the fabric.
@@deborahcanham2618 I just wanted to tell you that I attached a ruffle to fabric today using your recommendations and it came out perfect! Thanks again for this wonderful and helpful video.
I use a standard foot on my serger and make tons of gorgeous ruffles in SECONDS!! I attach the ruffles to the straight fabric separately. A two-step process, but same beautiful finished results. Here are the settings: Left & Right needles: 9 Upper & Lower loopers: 3 Stitch length: 4 Differential feed: 2.5 Not everyone has a ruffler foot for their serger and this beats the cumbersome, slow, and archaic zigzag method on a sewing machine!! Happy serging!🧵🥰😊❤️

Holding the fabrics into the corners of the binder really helps to keep the fabrics together.
