Thank you for giving us the kind of instructions that can even bring a complete novice, such as myself, into being confident enough to be able to do the job for the cost of the part that we have to have, without the cost of shop labor that a lot of us can't comfortably afford. And besides that we get to learn what happens in a vehicle to get us from here to there instead of just fuel and oil changes.
Isn't it always fun working on equipment during winter? You explain this so anyone should be able to diagnose there own problems! Looks like while you have tgat battery cable off to polish the terminals. Great job and outstanding video! Thanks!
and cars with all this computer crap.. newest bike I ever had was a 73 shovel.. my other was a 65 pan.. just like those years of cars much easier to work on..
Hey brother, appreciate the video. I replaced my solenoid and I'm still not getting the power to go through to the other big terminal that goes to the glow plug wiring harness valve cover gasket? If I take a jumper cable and go from the ground to the rear little peg the one that's towards the window then it works. So I guess I'm not getting a ground somewhere somehow?
@amsoiladam mine's grounded in the PCM and I just replaced the PCM. I replaced the glow plugs. The valve cover gaskets the solenoid the PCM I tried using oil temperature sensor off of my buddy's truck. That didn't make a difference. The only other thing I can think of is the barometric pressure sensor?

That sounds like a wiring issue, I would definitely check out the ground connection!
