I decided to go 12s on my Kraken 580. I don't NEED the extra power but I like the idea of the entire electrical system being less stressed and more efficient. The only real cost difference is in the ESC.
Great video I'm about to pull the trigger on a raw 580. Probably going 7s. Also saying 6s is perfect for some sports flying, and then absolutely tearing it up gave me a good giggle.
Hi Kyle its been a long time my friend! Remember World Micro Heli in Chicago? You were so young back then and absolutely killing it with those little gaui 200 flybared micros! Your Dad was awesome and helped me so much then and at XFC when I toasted my O.S. 91 in my Turbulence D3. I'll never forget you guys using your RVs oven to rebuild my engine before the competition. Good memories for sure. I am absolutely in love with the Kraken 580 Nitro!!! Nitro will always hold a place in my heart. 50s were always my favorite and I just gotta have one of these absolutely beautiful 580s! I've been outta flying helis a long time flying ultralights kinda took over my life but I fired up my old flybared 600N recently and man I forgot how much fun rc helis were!!!! Hope all is well bud. I'm running the Xnova 4020 on my 580! I actually have a 4025 here in the box but really liking the low RPM feel I get from the 4020! Great video, hope to see more tips and tricks!
Setup my 580 with the 4020 as well, absolutely love it.. I love the flight time and I am not a hard 3D flyer... I wouldike to know why 19T pinion.. I only had a 20T and runs fine, but would like to know what the 19T would do for me.
It would be incredibly helpful if you could review your Vbar settings in these videos. Would love to better understand what you’re running your Heli’s with and how you’re radio is dialed in.
Hello, I need some information, is the hobbywing 200A beak compatible with a kraken 580 or should I take the 130A beak? In fact I want to buy the 200A to put it later in a 700 but not sure.
I switched from rotary to fixed wing (planks) about 10 years ago and hadn't really followed the heli progression. Geez...the speed and intensity of the maneuvers has really ratcheted up. It's about the same for the planes though, try hard to brake the damn thing lol. As a spectator you can barely keep up. If it wasn't for muscle memory one wouldn't have a chance flying at this level
Great video. Would you be able to do a vbar/Hobbywing setup video with the original and touch radio? I’ve shut mine off with a 120 and 130 on a 550 size machine. Backup gaurd saved it.

The kraken 580 Nitro is by far one of the best helicopters I’ve flown! Very sweet machine and beautiful

This sounds like you may need to lower your gearing by dropping down 1 pinion size and perhaps lower your BEC down to 6v
