Dave wonders at the end of the video why Vince left at this time. I would hypothesize that there's a "higher power" behind the scenes, and I am eager to see it reveal himself soon.
Vince still owns the company right? So with Steph as Co-CEO a forced by out looks unlikely. Seems to me that this is a sweetener for a potential buyer further down the line.
Vince Mcmahon doesn't need to "pull the strings" behind the scenes. For years he's groomed Stephanie to be his successor, she's going to see the business much in the same way the he did.
Vince screwed over many people and wrestling companies since the 80s. He made stars. He had times where he delivered a good product and then times not so good. With all the allegations against him, it's a good decision to remove him.
Seems to me that people automatically assume that it will be Stephanie and HHH who will run the show and not Nick Khan. I wouldn't celebrate so soon because it can get worse.
Nick Khan is a businessman, so he'll run the business side of it. Stephanie and HHH will manage the show and talent. Anything else would make no sense, and Nick Khan isn't an idiot
@@travismcdonald6576 NXT kinda proved otherwise. HHH can spot talent and put on a good show, which is why NXT was the more popular brand before Vince decided to tinker with it.

Kevin Dunn is primarily responsible for changing the terms away from "wrestling" or even "sports" terminology. Dunn hates pro wrestling, always has, and didn't want to be seen as producing 'rasslin'. With Dunn potentially on a far tighter leash at least, look for a million small changes that might well bring WWE back to being a wrestling company.

What source who spills to Meltzer is privy to that level of information from Vinny Mac.
He is lying.
@@danielberry4765 How dare you be smurch the name of a man who's never cited one source in his entire fucking life
What Is dave rambling about
Dave wonders at the end of the video why Vince left at this time. I would hypothesize that there's a "higher power" behind the scenes, and I am eager to see it reveal himself soon.
Its vince the whole time
The DOJ? The SEC?
@@calvarycatcher66 in the words of JR: "Aw son-of-a-bitch."
18:45-18:46 🤣 I'm fucking dying 🤣
We're this much closer to the cho cho chosen one running the show. From a pure comedy standpoint, I have my fingers crossed.
That would be hilarious and I think there’s a decent he at least get put in charge of creative
Vince still owns the company right? So with Steph as Co-CEO a forced by out looks unlikely. Seems to me that this is a sweetener for a potential buyer further down the line.
WWE is a publicly traded company, he was majority shareholder. He has to sell all that stock now. He's done.
@@aggrodkreg4321 They can't force him to sell his shares.
Yes Dave, this is what the people want to hear about, how Jim Valley stole your line
For the love of god, Paul, get Kevin Dunn out of there…
Vince Mcmahon doesn't need to "pull the strings" behind the scenes. For years he's groomed Stephanie to be his successor, she's going to see the business much in the same way the he did.
grooming is probably isn't the best word right now
@@spac18 it's the correct application of the word in this context, "groomed" simply means prepared. All we're talking about is the business.
Vince screwed over many people and wrestling companies since the 80s. He made stars. He had times where he delivered a good product and then times not so good. With all the allegations against him, it's a good decision to remove him.
I agree this was a damn good decision and I know Vince was forced out of this position he didn't do this himself
To quote Michael Cole on this breaking news "oh my!! Are you kidding me??!!!"
"That was meant as a joke by the way." Oh thanks Dave, I never understood sarcasm before you came along.
Stephanie and HHH have ego’s that far exceed their ability.
@@travismcdonald6576 NXT kinda proved otherwise. HHH can spot talent and put on a good show, which is why NXT was the more popular brand before Vince decided to tinker with it.
If you subtracted all the 'erms', 'yeah, yeah, yeah' etc from Dave's speech, this video would be barely 15mins. Dave, for the love of God, stick to print!
"And and and and....so so so so."
Dave is the epotime of talking and saying absolutely nothing...
He rambles and mumbles like a
Homeless drunk
Wrong. He is 2nd to Nicholas Fehn.
Thanks to dynamite dave here for ruining what could have been a clear, honest review into this story without your usual incessant blabbering and unrelated tangents.. Was really hoping it was going to be Bryan and dare I say Mike talking about this.
Dave. Vince “retiring” is a bigger story than the startup of AEW. No one knew for sure what it would become. Cut it out. Gosh.
Yea he had to plug his other bosses.
Um yeah so the rampage number was uh very strong
Vince McMahon needs to be in the wwe hall of fame next year
Idk if anyone realizes this
But this day july 23 the day vince retires is exactly 28 years after vince was proven not guilty in the steroid trials
July 23rd 1994
What a coincidence
Pretty close, Vince retired the 22nd. But this still spooks me a lil
Also exactly 10 years after RAW went to 3 hours.

@@Shadowjester1985 Multiple promotions have started since WCW died. I don't recall Meltzer going to bat so much for ROH or TNA.

And you guys are not prepared..last time i will be listening
Ashley Massaro…
Let’s not forget WHY Vince has retired.
Have they came out and said she rode the pony?
@@bryanowings2044 it’s not that she and Vince did the nasty, necessarily, but when she was raped overseas, they pressured her to not say anything and didn’t do anything about it. It really messed her up. Not sure if they paid her to shut up, or just intimidated her into keeping her story quiet.
Bryan cant even finish opening the show before Dave starts cutting him off with something completely irrelevant
Beat the federal government, but lost via submission to the Wall Street Journal.
Vince will be back by Wrestlemania. Vince vs. Fake Vince BOOK IT!
And he looks him dead in the eyes, and says "YOU'RE FIRED"! And then make fake Vince kiss his ass.
There was one name that you did not bring up as Head of Creative: Paul Heyman. He certainly has a lot to offer.
Great so he can leak shit to dirt sheets like he did back than.
Paul wanted to push Ricochet and Cesaro. So NO, he'd be a horrible head of creative.
Wwe needs to put Paul Heyman in control of creative
These two geeks have been working together for twenty years and can’t do a show without stepping on each other constantly?
Dave for the love of God please stop with the non stop interruptions. Bryan has the patience of a saint to put up with it. Let others have their say Jesus Christ man
Agreed but I think it's part of who he is.
Has Dave ever let another human being finish a sentence??
I've been waiting for Vince to retire.
Christ, Bryan can’t even get out the date and website info before Dave starts running over him.
I will forever appreciate what Vince did for WWE and wrestling. But I do think it's a shame he stayed involved so long that he began to actively destroy what he built in so many ways, and that it took this much of that to finally tear him loose from it.
eh we become what we hate pal, cheers. i'm just glad bret hart got to see his mans fall from grace
Was Cole saying "WWE fans" his FU to Vince for all the years of screaming in his headphones?
Who indicts Vince into the WWE HOF? Theory?
I won't believe Vince is gone for good unless we get past the next Wrestlemania without seeing or hearing from him.
please get this man on the proper meds and/or off a live microphone. dave cannot even make coherent sentences anymore, it's embarrassing and makes anything he says look suspect.
Everyone in the world thought Vince would keel over on the job before he would retire. As wade Barrett would say; the winds of change is coming to the wwe
Vince McMahon is still the Owner. So I don't see any major changes as long as he's making the primary decisions no matter from where he does it. People assume Stephanie McMahon will do better? Nick Khan? Cuz those are the ones after Vince McMahon that have been in charge.
Uncle Dave is a great example of someone who says a lot but says nothing at the same time. His arguments with people on twitter over his defence of AEW are laughable. The undertaker had a great interview when in the American Badass era about these people, 'at the end of the day they are all just fans and sometimes they forget this'.
Most important story in wrestling from the last multiple decades if not ever and Dave wants to start it off by whining he didn't get to use this 'genius' opening line because someone else stole it? Good grief. EVERYONE thought of it Dave. He acts (and speaks worse than) like a 5 year old.
WWE was probably keeping Vince alive. He’ll be gone in 2 years.
Dave. Stop interrupting Bryan. FFS
