As much as i love gt, i find it funny how goku lost his gi when he first fought super 17, went ssj4, blew himself up, reverted back to a kid and REGREW his gi. Its the only thing i dont understand, toei never explains how ssj4 magically changes clothes and then reverts

He didn't even know they absorb energy, he heard that they couldn't so why would he assume a being with infinite stamina would absorb energy? Now if this was super you can't be fair, that shit is fried. Even Z is super fried often like giving cell a senzu bean or Gohan letting Buu get Gotenks.
So Goku knew that energy attacks was making Super 17 stronger and yet he still kept doing it he even hit him with a 10x Kamehameha, and people want to complain about Goku being dumb in Super when this is even worse.
Super 17 was cool asf tbh he had such a badass aura around him literally beating the shit out of all the Z fighters and had to resort to Goku beating him in a way that didn’t revolve around SS4.

The same reason why SSJ Goku from the super 17 arc surpassed his ssj4 form from the baby arc. So him going ssj4 in the shadow dragons arc against those dragons alone puts them on a whole another level from super 17. super goku isn’t the only Goku that got exponentially stronger after every arc. Plus GT gokus tail amplified his zenkai boost & multipliers .
