More than anything I love how they showcase Android 18's humanity, nobility, and emotional side in the Super 17 saga. It was the first time as an audience we got to see Android 18 and Goku have an actual heart-to-heart conversation and it's a perfect example of why Goku is the ultimate MC, easily comforting a character that was designed to kiII him once upon a time, Goku has a natural ability of bringing people together, because of all that I tear up anytime I watch this saga the same I did 14+ years ago when I was a kid.
Fr. I mean he is similar to vegeta fr and Goku could bring him back with the super dragon balls IF he wants to. big if. Really think about it when he got to earth, he didn't really kill anyone besides the farmer which it was self defense in a evil way.
This arc is the weakest in GT, but Super 17 itself and its design are quite cool, I see the idea for this character, it's a pity that the script was bad

Even the idea of another 17 to create super 17 when you think about doesn't make sense. It would of made more sense to create brand new android or another version of cell.
I like how Dr Myuu calling 18 a “reject” was enough for 17 to turn on him immediately. Reminder that Dr Gero only assigned model numbers to his successful androids. He kidnapped dozens of people for his experiments, Lapis and Lazuli were one of the few that made it out alive
Seeing 18 and Goku bond over Krillin's death and him comforting her feels nice, as they're enemies in another timeline, and originally was supposed to be Goku's hitman. That's something we haven't seen in Super at all.
Because Krillin didn’t die…? We haven’t seen that exact thing play out, but future trunks met 18 and was playful with him, then he saw Krillin’s family. We did get moments.

We got the 18 moment that was deserved.

DBGT will forever stay loved in my heart no matter what others say. I wish it didn't get canceled back then because the Super 17 arc and Shadow Dragons arc got rushed to end the series even tho the Baby Vegeta arc was done decently

Goten and Trunks are too weak to do anything and Gohan and Vegeta kept using Ki blasts...The hits that SS Goku landed were not ki based, and also just as S17 gets stronger by absorbing energy he gets weaker by releasing it, so you can say that by the time he faced Goku he had already wasted a lot of power by fighting the others
Ssj Goku was just stronger, in base he would be able to slam kid bu and also he had the chance to grow stronger during his adventure in the black star saga. He also dominate a stronger Cell and Frieza without any efforts. Despites this, only Vegeta has maybe trained but the others are not so powerful. The true plot hole Is Majuub he should be able to do more
Plus Goku and Vegeta are one of if not the best hand to hand combatants in the verse as soon as they figured out the energy gimmic they should’ve got straight to squabbling🤷🏽♂️

I believe he said it in the manga before don’t quote me on that but regardless it’s to be implied he can do the form as well but he has witness the forms drawbacks and he has attained better power above that especially now as he chooses to go a different power route than just following gokus footsteps

@@Hispanicburrito than I may be wrong on that front but generally speaking there’s nothing Goku can do that vegeta can’t besides ultra instinct and you refer to the anime and manga Goku spoke on ssj3 drawbacks and vegeta witnessed the drawbacks of it facing buu so I feel it’s implied that while he hasn’t attempted there’s no reason he can’t he def has the power to do so but why would he it’s an inferior form especially at this point in the manga
@@Jay-oe2od yeah, it should be that vegeta never tried getting ssj3 since he saw the drawbacks and thought of it as being a useless transformation, doing devolopement of his character from the cell saga.

This arc was short it could've had some more fights and some more interactions
It was short for sure but I prefer it that way if it would’ve continued on the path it started on
@@justinsdenI wish it gave characters more depth before it cumulated into the two androids merging. It would make sense for him to attack a city first, then draw the Z fighters there.
Then we could have seen 17 try to manipulate 18 all the while trying to actually fight the mind control.
We needed more internal fighting from OG 17, because he won't be content with being a mindless slave to another doctor and a mere clone of himself.
