It shows you what potential he has for comedy. He's usually the leading action man, romantic lead. In a way we've been robbed, really he should do more comedy.
A lot of people saying there needs to be a Les Grossman movie, but what we need is another movie, totally unrelated to Tropic Thunder, in which the character Les Grossman is just there. Not the main character, just the same as in Tropic Thunder. The more out of place it is for him to be there, and thus the more disconcerting it is when he hijacks the entire plot for his own devices, the better. And they don't 'defeat' him in the end, because failure is not an option for him. He will take on international drug cartels just because they're trying to control a scene that he's in. He's not the villain you take on, he's the one you ask for permission to take on a lesser villain.
So the reason why Les Grossman is so short tempered is because 1982 Tom Cruise refused to dance in his briefs? Because that would be so fucking hilarious!!!
Say what you will about Tom Cruise, he sincerely appreciates the talent he was given and the opportunities he has had. Tom has grown as an actor and understands his fan base. He is a consummate professional and perfectionist.
