The German Roco locomotive is a 111 Class and the German silvershaped coaches are called "Silberlinge". These coaches are used as one unit with the 111 loco, it is a push and pull trainset for local passenger trains. The trainset is in the shape from the late 80es and early 90ies. Roco is a really high end modelrailwaymanufacturer. You made a great deal getting these trainset!

Nice additions to your collection Harrison. The E8s were marketed by Model Power and made by Roco. They have a huge can motor and flywheel but were growly when new. It’s amazing that the interurban ran. Thanks as always for sharing your interest with us.

8:08 SNCF TEE Baggage Car. Jouef Made in either France or Ireland 1970s
8:57 German S-Bahn loco. That is a serious find as they are expensive models and well made
9:11 Think it might be Hornby Acho French regional electric. Not completely sure
9:17 Palitoy OO gauge auto transporter I think? Sort of French Prototype. The little cars are hard to find and collectable.
9:30 Hornby British Railway Container Train Wagon. OO gauge
9:37 The two German 'Silverfish' cars go with the Roco S-Bahn loco so you have a complete 1980s German suburban train now.
10:09 Brazilian State Railways loco. What a find!
10:55 A fairly valuable and easy to repair loco.
and you got the rest of the S-Bahn train.
Deal of the Century! Well done.

The loco at 9:11 is a Marklin SEW800, from about 1951. Even without the motor it is a very desirable item and worth a substantial amount to a collector .
The little German tinplate coach and 0-4-0 steam loco are both Trix Express. The loco should run on 4.5V DC as it was originally sold as part of a small battery operated starter set in the late 50s.
The 3-rail diesel loco is a Marklin 3021.
As for the Dublo loco, it needs a lot of work - the tender chassis and front bogie are both incorrect, and it looks like somebody has been fiddling around with the smokebox door too. Ludlow Castles are always 3-rail (2 rail locos are named either Denbigh or Cardiff Castle) from the factory, so I assume that the hideous modifications have been carried out with a view to allowing it to run on two rail track. The great shame of it is that Ludlow Castle is the really rare name, with the more common earlier 3 rail locos being named Bristol Castle.

I'm from central Europe and if these tables were here, I would literally fill my van with everything offered there on spot and spend the next 15 years with my kids building train layouts... after building the necessary garden house or two to fit it all in. Sadly, here a good deal on most of stuff offered between 0 and 1 CAD is somewhere between 10 and 50 Euro if you are lucky.

Wow, I woulda had a field day! That box of European equipment is a really neat find.
I had my own score this weekend, a friend who works at the town dump set aside some trains for me that someone left there. HO isn't my main thing, but there was some O gauge and some HO, and among a bunch of generic Roco rolling stock was a Rivarossi NKP Berkshire. Not only that, but the original AHM/Rivarossi manual for it, and an AHM combined train set manual and catalog. Both are dated 1973 so I think that's when the engine was made. It wouldn't run when placed on the track, but hooking leads up to the drawbar and trailing truck got it running, albeit poorly. I wasn't too worried about getting it going, and I'm happy to report that she runs beautifully now, aside from wheel slip issues that I think are caused by the traction tire having partially dried out. I think the previous owner took largely good care of it because there was barely any cosmetic damage, and it was relatively clean inside and out. I'm really impressed with the quality, I may well keep it in my collection.

Would you happen to have the part numbers and reference diagrams in that manual, maybe be able to photocopy and e-mail them?
I'm working on a 1960's-70's NKP Berk from Rivarossi, and I need to get part numbers for some stuff that's missing.

1:43 the MDC boxcab track cleaner (lower right) is about a $50 piece on eBay
I would have bought out that entire $1.00 table.
I ran into the same thing in Batavia NY on Sunday April 3. Lots of cheap trains, I spent a ridiculous amount of money on things. Some to keep, some to sell. A guy literally gave me a little brass steam engine, that's how crazy. What's even more odd is I sold a couple of expensive new pieces, usually when people are selling tons of cheap stuff nobody buys anything new and over $100.
If you decide to part with the red diesel with the yellow stripe from the $5 box, I'd be interested. It's an EMD export locomotive for South America and other places. I want one for me, and it's probably easier to buy yours than try to import one from some other country. Or I can send you something in trade.
You did absurdly good on that lot, there's easily a couple three hundred bucks in it.
Atlantic Coast Line and Seaboard Air Line were somewhat parallel roads in the southeast US who merged in 1967 to become Seaboard Coast Line. They then brought the Louisville & Nashville and Clinchfield in to be the Family Lines, then Seaboard System, then by 1985 became a part of CSX.
The CP engine with "Japan" on the bottom is probably battery powered. Hard to tell if it's the right shell or not though. It looks kind of like a Revell shell rather than the right one.
The interurban at a glance looks like a Penn Line body but then up close you can see it's hand made. The drive, though, I think might be a Varney from the later 1950s or even 60s. Someone might have updated it from how it was originally built. Funny, I bought a Walthers doodlebug from about that same era, 40s, 50s, but it has an original drive in it. That one has Walthers metal sides with wood floor and roof.
$50 CAD is a decent deal for those Model Power (Roco made) E8s.
And $20 is a good deal on the GG1. It looks like it might be the Mehano version, which AHM first sold in the 1980s, and IHC sold later.
you can test the AC engines using the AC power on the transformer, you get no speed control but it will run from it.

Great haul! I can't believe those prices! I went to a show recently and I didn't see any prices even competing with the ones at yours. I got a GG1 just like yours but for $65 and that was the best price I found at any stand, saw some for well over $100 (US). My favorites are the tan/orange German electric, the Pennsy loco, and the kitbashed interurban.

that PRR engine is beautiful My Dad started out in Pittsburgh as a young man with PRR then went into WWII and went back after the war then transferred to Buffalo when i was 4 and went thru the NYC merger and then Conrail and so on through the 45 years he was with them.

Me and my 5 year old son enjoy watching your videos. I have been a ho scale rail fan since I was 5. Last year at a train show in the Springfield mo area he won a raffle and got a Bachman set with a Pennsylvania f unit woukd be neat to add to the collection. Keep up the work man. There is only one hobby shop around and that's about 30 miles away. The hobby stores in Springfield are gone. It's sad I use to enjoy going to the stores looking at old stuff and new.

Glad to see train shows up in your neck of the woods are doing well. Attended one here in the Chicago area for the first time in about 12 years and it was a case of you can't go home again as that show was 6 buildings on the fair grounds and was now 2 buildings.
Unfortunately the guys either offering their entire table, selling dirt cheap or just giving stock away are probably looking to get rid of stock to get out as there were a few guys at this show that said just that.
That locomotive will never ride the rails again.
    Harrison: challenge accepted.
That German locomotive might be a candidate for an Athearn drive/chassis transplant, the electric shell looks to be French and the red and yellow hood unit seems Russian/former soviet block.
Atlas FP7 excellent haul and yes Seaboard Coast Line is related to Atlantic Coast Line. ACL merged with Seaboard Air Line ( not an actual air line as in planes but in the railroad use of the term referring to an arrow straight section of track or most direct route) in the late 60s and SCL adopted the last ACL livery.
Pennsylvania locomotive looks to be a Baby Trainmaster and IIRC Model Power and or Mehano made a GG1 as well.

The SCL railroad was formed on July 1st 1967 when the SAL and ACL merged to create the SCL railroad. The paint scheme for the ACL was used for SCL. The SAL, Seaboard Air Line, to me was the cooler half of the merger. Not much of the SAL trackage is active anymore but a majority of the ACL trackage is used today.

Really great haul Harrison! The European trains are pretty fascinating and I love the E8’s, GG1, and other locomotives. I’m also very excited for the potential future content that can be created with the locomotives in bad shape, I love your repair videos so much, it’s very satisfying to watch you repair a locomotive to great working condition! The second passenger car from Germany is a cab car, which means (just like you said) it is a push-pull system, where there can be 2 locomotives( 1 at each end of a train) or 1 locomotive at one end and a cab car at the other. These are some railroads in the USA and Canada (wanted to include Canada since I heard that you live in Canada ;): Chicago & Northwestern, Metra, Metro North, Long Island Railroad, New Jersey Transit, SEPTA, Marc, VRE, MBTA, Trinity Railway Express, TRI-RAIL, Caltrain and ACE (I live in the Bay Area, specifically Martinez and I have been on ACE before, and I have also been on Metrolink before as well), Metrolink and Coaster, UTA Frontrunner. Canada: Go Transit, Via Rail, and AMT. Thank you SMT for the great video! Keep up the great work!

the locomotive held together by the string is a German V200 Class Diesel, these units were built in the 1950s and were designed to pull fast passenger trains. The V200 has reached a cult status within railfans over here in germany, it's sad to see the model in such a bad condition. the v200 actually fits the two silverfish passenger cars quite nicely.
the white/orange electric locomotive class 111 is a german engine for commuter trains. they were built in the 1970s and 1980s and some of them are still in service. they also fit the silverfish cars quite nicely. you made a great catch with these models👍👍

  • @BarefootCuer

The green shell is a Märklin No. 3012 SNCF French Electric which was also availbale as the Dutch Class 1100 No. 3011. The orange and white class 111 by Roco is the perfect engine for the 2 silver geional cars. The car with the cab is a control car for push-pull service. The Atheran ACL GP-35 brought back memories - I once owned that model.
