Nothing like seeing an abused old car get revived to look new again! The Impala turned out awesome and the new owner was thrilled with the results!
Have a great weekend everyone!!
Have an awesome weekend!!
@@Jennifer_MB Jennifer is here! Have a great weekend Jennifer!!!
Have a great weekend Mitch, some well deserved rest I hope or golfing. I hope you get to play the links.
Yippee Jennifer_MB, Have a beautiful weekend! Take care of yourself. 😊
@@TheDetailGeek I'll try to have a good one, Mitch.
This hurt my heart, I had an Impala like this in red. I can’t understand treating a vehicle like this, no car is cheap anymore. You might as well throw your money away. I love the care you give cars like this, your attention to detail is the same, if not better than a new car detail. It’s hard to believe that’s the same vehicle! Great transformation!
Thank you!
Why did Chevy switch the impala look from the 96 impala
@@djcrystalclear420 Time and evolution
These old v6 Chevys were fantastic commuters and highway cars.
@@djcrystalclear420because they turned impalas into daily drivers they aren’t race cars no more
"Time is the biggest enemy I have in life"
Felt. Need that on a t-shirt.
You know it's so refreshing to see a young man have so much pride in his work. I'm a 57 yo 100% disabled vet who loves nothing more than to see my truck shine. I realize with all comments you get you may never get a chance to read this but it would mean the the world if I could talk to you personally regarding products and several other things. I just purchased a 2024 Ram Power wagon 2500 HD with patriot blue and black trim. So many questions. Again thank you for your time and awesome videos. Take care brother.
Growing up, my parents had a blue Impala just like this at one point and never ever cleaned it. It was disgusting. This video was healing for me in a way. 😂
It ended up being repo'd after years of abuse, so I feel bad for whoever had to clean that shit. 😂
now this is my dream vehicle type: one that has good quality carpet, fabric seats, and a decent set of buttons (unlike the touchscreens you see nowadays)
As a detailed these older Chevy have all that as well as the ford sedans as well
What a beautiful car. I love the wood grain on the interior, it adds warmth.
This car doesn't look as it got any love in its life. I'm impressed of the quality of materials, which still looks good when cleaned.
I had a 2010 Impala LS much like this. Same color too. I really took care of it while I lived in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Kept it clean and as rust free as possible. It helped repair my credit and got me around reliably. When moved back home to Texas, I was almost heartbroken when the time came to trade it in. My sales lady said it sold almost immediately and the new owner loved how clean and in great condition it was. I simply can't understand how and why people use their cars as trash cans and drive around in filth. Loved this video and how you brought it back to life and made it look so nice.
I have a 2016 Chevy Impala LTZ, I absolutely love it. It has a leather interior and black exterior (not great for the summer months). This video made me so happy to see the Impala get the love it deserved. Thanks for another great video, Detail Geek!
Awesome transformation, Mitch! The interior really cleaned up well, thanks to the higher quality fabric and carpet used back then. I still remember a taxi ride I took to the airport in 2006, which happened to be in an Impala. I remember how comfortable the ride was, as well as the seats. It's hard to find a used car these days, that is in very good condition for around $3K. I guess I'll continue to use public transportation and taxis.
Gotta love the "repair" of the front bumper 🤣! Great job as always 👍!
That interior came out so clean, you need to add more extracting parts! It is super satisfying. It’s sad to see cheap materials in newer vehicles today. Great job and have a great weekend!
Thanks Botdog! Have a great weekend!
Hey Botdog, have a great weekend!!!
You sure did a phenomenal job as always Mitch.
Crazy how this Chevy Impala turned out at the end
Thank you!
I forgot today is Friday and am more than 2 hours late! My dad had an Impala like this that I cleaned once. He was a cigar smoker but did not leave trash, so trade-offs. Nice to see an "old friend" get cleaned up.
I laughed when I saw the zip ties on the front end 😂
I see that a lot here in the Midwest, along with some cars being held together with duck tape. Confusing yet hilarious. 😅
@@krspkrmmom Duct tape is the best invention ever xD
My dads bumper is hanging off
The seats and carpets came up an absolute treat... good quality makes them so much easier to clean. Fantastic job, Mitch 👍
That’s sad the old owner treated it like crap I’m glad the new owner bought it to make it look great again so he can use it to get back and forth from work. Awsome transformation Mitch🔥💯
Mitch: Great detail. The Impala looks great. Have a safe and happy weekend.
Thanks, you too!
Puma!! You need to sponsor this man! Mitch is always cleaning in his Puma socks lol.❤
Hey.
James here, from England.
Been watching these details for a while now and they are so satisfying, the attention to detail is first class.
Thanks for the entertainment.
Hey Mitch,
The Chevy looks great!!! We can only hope the new owner takes care of the vehicle!!!
As Always Amazing!!!❤❤❤
Thank you!!
Yesss!!!! I'd love to see more engine cleaning, though!!! In my mind it's not a complete cleaning unless you do the motor
That would be nice to see, but definitely recommend not using the pressure washer for that to avoid damaging any electronics, and sometimes the high pressure water can penetrate some engine seals and cause even more damage, using the spot free rinse at a self serve car wash should be safe for most vehicles, especially if it’s not already caked in dirt
Watching your videos makes me more knowledgeable about taking care of my car
Jim from Essex, England. Been watching your videos for quite a few years, it never fails to amaze me how clean and tidy your hard work transforms a vehicle for an owner. Superb work as alwaysz. May it long continue!
Thank you!
Incredible transformation Mitch. Your job is hypnotizing! Every time you post it makes my day!! ❤❤
Over here in England this car wouldn't pass what we call an mot which a annual check to see if it's road worthy and safe this car would clearly fail and most likely be condemned.
It would fail on the windscreen alone. Never seen one so damaged as this one.
Same in Australia.
Same here in VA. The windshield alone would fall it, let alone the excessive rust corrosion
The video speaks nothing to the mechanical soundness, so let’s assume that’s all good. England/Australia would condemn/junk this car because of some dirt and a windshield!?! That’s 500-600 bucks/quid to fix tops! How unbelievably wasteful. I’m guessing the new owner paid little and now has a reliable vehicle to get to and from work.
@SH1BBOLETH It would cost more to fix than its worth it needed a new rear bumper for starts and the front bumper is held together with cable ties but at the end of the day it's not my car and not my worry if it go horribly wrong .
How could they mistreat an Impala - a car that goes way back and still stands today as an iconic classic?
That plastic stitched together with zip ties reminds me of what I saw in Alaska. Also broken windshields. Up there. they don't salt the roads. They put down pea gravel which gets thrown at windshields. Walking thru parking lots, almost half of the cars had busted windshields, and plastic parts held together with zip ties, from plowing thru snow banks. In the summer, yes, they really do have warm summers, even above the Arctic Circle. They collect as much of the gravel as possible to reuse. From the look of your car's windshields, maybe they do pea gravel some places in Canada, or is that car from Alaska?
Most locations in Canada use “sand” or mix with salt. Hence our broken windshields. I’ve had one oil change and one windshield in my ‘23.
I currently drive a 2014 Impala Limited, same body style. I can't imagine ever letting it get to the point of that vehicle. Great job!
The details where you work on the old(er) sedans are my favorite, given that I have an old sedan that still has a lot of life left in it. As soon as I saw the interior in particular, I knew you'd make it dazzling again. Thanks for taking as much care with this vehicle as you would with a brand new Bentley. Another amazing transformation!
Great job Detail Geek!! Like the old saying how you take care of your car and home speaks a lot about you.
Man that poor impala
I have a 2011 chevy implala LT. I damn near wash it 1 time every week before I go to work as well as vacuum clean my dash wipe the seats etc etc. Anyway you did an amazing job with the car.
Awesome work as always! I had an ashen gray 2012 LT. I loved that car. Felt like I was riding in style..
LOL I had two Impalas with that body style
1 was silver 2007 LTZ 3.9 V6 put over 150,000 trouble free miles on it.
The 2nd one was a 2014 silver Limited with 3.6 V6 with 6 speed automatic. Put 140,000 trouble free miles on that one
Both were great vehicles.
Good job on detail.
Even with having a “steel wheel” wearing a conqueror tire on it. The Impala turned out 👍👍
Great job.
I know the new owner will be happy you cleaned this car. It looks so much better. Great job as always.
Looks very good! I love the transformation.
Hello Mitch, great job on another detail. I’ve been inspired by your work for a few years now and just wanted to share my appreciation with your work and knowledge about the car detailing industry.
I have a question about your steamer the mc1375 how long have you been using it and taken great lengths for taken care of the steamer especially the tube near the spray gun. I’ve seen and heard about many reviews from others and they would have to rely on taping the area multiple times in that area due to the heat melting the plastic overtime.
It would be nice to see a short & sweet quick video on how you clean and take care of your tools & equipment.
Again great job for amazing work and another awesome video. 😃
Morning Mitch, I know you'll work your wonders on this chevy, Salute!
I own a base model 2010 Impala, and its a treat to clean! Its a super high quality, expensive feeling interior and is one of my favorites of all time IMHO
Bro detail , please do more older cars cause the transformation is always better on older cars . Do a Honda accord next 08-12”💪🏾
I had a 2011 Impala at 285000 KM and put in a 100000 KM in (same Navy colour). During my run with that car, I just recently started watching your video and it was what I used mainly going forward in at least keeping the interior brand new (as my friends would say as they step inside for a ride). Now I drive an 2014 Avalon, and seeing this video brought me good memories. (If that video came out earlier, I would have used it as my main tutorial lol). Thank you for everything you do!
Omg i had 2 impalas, and they never looked like this. What i can say about this model is the transmission is no good and the dash makes a ticking noise. Overall you did a great job cleaning it.
You did a great job. I hope the owner does something about all the rust, if it’s even possible at this point.
Wow! Looking good. I'm sure the owner was grateful. "Fantastic job"
Awesome job Mr Mitch! I'm gonna check out that pressure washer too! 😲👍👍👍
Love this music in every single video.🎉
My gosh your doing such a great job detail geek have a good DG summer
It's great to see you detail a vehicle that's going to an owner who will take care of it. Beat up cars like this have purpose as a daily driver and keep wear & tear off your nice car. Good job as always 👍
Despite the damage, not much rust, even the door edges! Definitely not an Ontario car, where I live 😢 Western cars and trucks ftw. My son has 06 Impala with beige cloth base interior. He also removes seats for annual detail, and scrubs up well. Keep up the great vids!
“Time is the biggest enemy that I have in life” - Detail Geek 2024
fantastic job Mitch .. amazing result
Oh, wow. I’m allergic to dust and almost had an allergic reaction to that dash!! Great job, as always!!
This is literally hurting down my heart seeing how much cleaning it is by so much dirt there is on that 2006-2013 Chevrolet Impala. Great Detail my man!:).💯💯💯💯💯🤞🏼
Another car saved from the junkyard. You’re like car EMS worker👍Have a nice weekend
Mitch, I had a Chevy Impala in Silver, same year. We traveled to different states. It was a sweet car to drive, and I took my kids to the beach during the summer break from school.
I've got an 07 Malibu, mine is in good shape still even by secondhand. My paint is good, but definitely visually old
Revived to look new again....Great job, but with all the holes, rust and cracks it's not new by far. 10 hours of work still worked out far. Hope the new owner starts maintaining it and give it some tlc.
NICE JOB MITCH...Hope it runs well
To conquer your ‘biggest enemy in life - TIME’ would mean you’re no longer here to experience it. I enjoy your channel.
Great detail Mitch!!
you can always make a battered old car look fantastic well done
I will never understand how some people can treat their stuff so horribly. You should always be proud of the things you have even if it’s not the newest nicest thing (vehicle) out there. 🤦🏻♀️ btw love you Mitch❤
Give this Impala a thorough clean, it never saw coming; Mitch (aka Detail Geek).
Hi Mitch!
Question: do you also clean the inside overhead roof? Cant recall ever seeing that in your videos. Would stand to reason you do as some of these can be pretty gross😳. Thanks. Love your videos🥰
I own a '11 Impala. It was originally my sister's, then was given to me. She made the car VERY filthy, and I was able to detail it like crazy and made the interior the cleanest ever. I love it by heart!
Hello there Detail Geek. It is always so good to see you. These videos are so amazing and awesome 👍😎. You always know how to bring a vehicle to life every time. And I admire you for that. Thanks for everything you do on your channel. Your hard work and dedication is always outstanding 👍💪 enjoy your day and take care
Really gross dirt living its' best life in this lovely vehicle. You could almost hear it go "aaahh" when you sprayed on the foam. Great job. 😄
Well considering the poor car had the shit kicked out of it, you did a beautiful job Mitch, cleaning it so it is decent for it's new owner.
The impala looks pretty intense but the transformation may give it a pristine appearance
Never thought I would see the day a bumper being zip tied together, I have officially seen it all.
You took a beat up “needed” car to a cleaned up version that the new owner will hopefully enjoy and yes be proud of. It’s so visible how different and cheap new car materials (carpet and upholstery) are 15 years later. The seats and carpet came up beautifully- you sure do it the right way, no matter what the story is. 😊
Hi Mitch this car looks so much better it's like night and day awesome job as always and the New owner Will be so happy to drive a clean and smell better car
Thank you!
@@TheDetailGeek your quite welcome
LOOKS FANTASTIC 😊
Another job well done Impala looks amazing
Those Impalas were awesome. I had two of them in that body style. Built in Canada, very reliable. It's a shame they don't build them anymore.
The interior, despite the abuse came out looking really good. Compared to the exterior, it fared much better.
As an owner of this exact model Impala, my late-grandfathers car, I can say I enjoy cleaning it each time and do all I can to keep it in the same condition he always had it in, in his honor. Only thing that drives me nuts is the design flaw of the headlights. always has condensation behind it and weathers from the inside out. Have replaced with OEM and they did the same thing. That and the fact that they didn't place a keyhole for the trunk, so if your battery dies, and your cables are in there, forget it because you can't open the trunk at all.
Great job, Mitch!
My 2007 Chevy Impala was named “Bailey.” She was my grandmas car and was bought brand new in 2007 when my Grandma was 92. Incredibly, her first brand new car that she bought all on her own. She passed in 2012 at 96, just days away from her 97th birthday. My uncle didn’t want the car and so I inherited her.
Sadly in 2015 Bailey was totaled in my first and (so far) only car accident since I got my license in 2002. RIP 😢
I STILL miss that car!!
I currently have a 2014 Chevrolet Impala LT white. I try my best to keep the outside clean and the inside.
These Impalas are really good cars. Our dealership had two of them as shuttles. I think both of them had well over 100,000 miles on them. And they drove great.
I really like the music on this video, so relaxing
The car looks great. I noticed that many of the "newer" cars you detail are rusted. Is that because of salting the roads in the winter? I live along the Gulf of Mexico where it rarely snows. In the 70's & 80's it was common (here)to see cars with rust due to the high humidity and rain 8-9 months a year. Car makers must treat the cars with antirust paints. Rust is rarely seen on cars today in this area.
And why would they do this? Cars will last longer and no new cars will be bought? We can only dream of a good quality now, when everything is engineered to last as long as a warranty permits it :)
Como sempre um conteúdo de ótima qualidade!
I had a ‘03 impala and i absolutely loved mine. It had ALLOT of issues but when she ran boy did she run
I wish I could get my mailbu looking this good! Well done!
Yes, I second a comment above. Can you show how you clean the headliner, it would seem to require a gentler touch, so I’m always worried about attempting to clean it
Hi @TheDetailGeek,
I've been considering setting up a car washing business because I enjoy cleaning my own car and believe I have a good eye for detail. While I don’t have all the equipment you possess, I do have some tools I can start with. For instance, I use a cordless Dyson vacuum cleaner with a crevice attachment to remove dust and debris from my car's interior. Additionally, I have a Vax spot wash that I use for cleaning the seats and mats when they become particularly dirty.
I love your videos and admire how immaculate you make the vehicles look. I'm looking for some advice on starting with the equipment I have by offering interior car cleaning services at a fair price. I would also appreciate any tips on products and techniques to help me improve and become more knowledgeable in the field.
Thanks!
It's crazy in Canada how you are allowed to drive a car with such a large crack in the windscreen and all that rust. It would be illegal in Australia.
Do you guys get defect notices from police? Do cars of a certain age have to pass a road worthy certification?
safelite repair, safelite replace
Zip Ties??? That is some Red Green Ingenuity at work there! Way to keep yer stick on the ice!
Amazing! Love those! I would have paint correction done too.
Is that zip ties holding the front together?? 😂
cant believe my favorite detailer is detailing an impala. Ive been waiting for this since I got an impala
Enjoy the weekend Mitch ❤
You too!
@@TheDetailGeek thank you 🙏
ouch. really terrible to treat a vehicle like that. also means it probably wasn't taken care of mechanically either. i would of found a better car to purchase. but as always fantastic detail work.
I don't have a single one of these "fancy" tools, but just using some of the same techniques keeps my car looking great. I get compliments all the time on how clean my car is ^_^ I use an old toothbrush and dish soap.
Hi Mitch, what type of respirator do you use? Would you ever consider making a safety video for detailing? Thanks!
