BFS Unboxing: Daiwa Gekkabijin PE Special & Jenko Double Down

Time for anopther BFS gear unboxing!
Ok, I finally did it. I got the Daiwa Gekkabijin. I also picked up the Jenko Double Down rod which has some impressive specs. Minimum casting weight of 1/80th of an ounce? Yes Please!

This rod so far is my favorite bfs rod I paired it with the soloking Acura it’s a killer combo and makes long cast with 10lb braided line

The only downside for me was the guide spacing when you fight really big fish. But, understanding that Jenko is a crappie company, the design makes sense.

With the way the exchange rate it is right now the Gekkabijin is a absolute steal. I’m waiting for the Gekkabijin air ags to come back in stock to pair with mine.

Agree. I was considering the Kastking Kestrel, but for just a little more I had to get the Gekka.

Nice combo! I changed Hedgehog's studio micro bearings into my GekkaBijin. It turned even better. Despite of that there seems micro bearings in original.

The 1/80th oz refers to the bare jig/hook... no plastic or silicone skirt... it is actually 1/32nd oz.... to be exact... 😁 its just marketing hype to attract BFS fishermen...😜

How long was it from date of order to receiving the rod? did you order from jenko direct or from bait finesse empire?

From BFE - but it shipped direct from Jenko. About 5 days, but there was a weeekend involved too. pretty quick overall.
