I don't understand all the hate the speaker is getting in the comments. He explained that medicine should be prompted by thought and reason and then described some of the inconsistencies of reason in homeopathy. I can not see how this offends any practitioner of homeopathy. If one believes that a particular homeopathic medicine cures a disease all one needs to do is conduct a controlled experiment and publish the results. This would systematically prove the homeopathy dissenters wrong.

I am assuming you are an Allopathic doctor, So as a doctor can you please tell that in Diabetes Mellitus ( caused by Insulin deficiency/ Sensitivity) why does our body becomes Insulin deficient or loose sensitivity? Clearly if you have studied properly you would know that there is no evidence as to why our body does that. So does that mean that this lack of evidence would disregard the fact that In Diabetes our beta cells stop producing insulin.Similarly, lack of evidence as to how Homeopathy actually works, doesn’t mean it doesn’t Work. How modern medicine works is, if an ayurvedic treatment is found to work, it will find out what makes the treatment work, isolate that compound and turn it into a pharmaceutical drug. This is just one example. Homeopathy does not work, because the logic itself is flawed. By homeopathy logic, a single drop of ocean water added to a massive reservoir of freshwater will turn the entire reservoir into a magical panacea, a cure for everything. Think about it, the ocean has a trace of every single element and compound to ever exist, and it is always being mixed around. Use your brain, my man. Don't go around proving why India has an average IQ of 85, and don't give the name Samarth a bad rep.

In 2017 NHS England said it would no longer fund homeopathy on the NHS as the lack of any evidence for its effectiveness did not justify the cost. This was backed by a High Court judgement in 2018.

It is more important to have knowledge about the disease and the effects of medicine, every doctor must know the limitations and effects of his system,also referring the patients on time is equally important I've seen mbbs and bhms doctors who refer the patient according to need of the patient's ailment either PCOS, stones or other systemic illness ,they refer the patients, without any ego homeopaths refer if surgery is important, similarly allopaths refer patients to homeopaths. My grandmother got some stress and anxiety issue and i take her to a allopathic dr neurologist and he prescribed medication Only for three weeks maximum or five weeks she feels better but after that she get worse than before her anxiety increase more and more Two years of allopathic medicine no changes but now i stopped giving her allopathy medicine now she feels better . Exercise is one of the best things you can do for anxiety! Exercise releases endorphins that have been proven to increase mental health! It relieves stress. Maybe take walks with her? Or chair aerobics? There are lots of videos here in YT for chair exercises she can do. Dancing could be fun if she enjoys that. Anything that gets her moving and her heart rate up!
In homoeopathy we study that allopathic medicines give temporary relief and after some period the disease will return in a more powerful way than before or it will take some other serious form.But in emergency cases where you have no time, only saving patients life is priority then Allopathic medicines should be used and as the condition of patient gets better ,he or she must go for homoeopathy for complete cure .

As a non doctor I really don't know the in and out of medical science. But it was once that allopathy made me put in such deep grave, I lost my all fear and hope of living. I was on allopathy medicine for 1 month. I was in Delhi then, and had visited 3 major big hospitals for this. But nothing at all worked. I had more than 20 blood tests, sonography and what not. Last left was MMR and brain scanning. It was then that my sister said let's see if homeopathy works. And yes, it did worked and I was all okay within just 3 days. I cannot express how much I owe my life to the homeopathy doctor.
This is my experience.

In emergency allopathy works best but in chronic disease allopathy sucks, patient die with side effects of long term allopathic medicine.
In the long term, we all die. Modern medicine adds 20 years or more in chronic diseases. If a person takes homeopathy for diabetes and does not follow diet advice of modern medicine, they will go blind, have ulcers on foot which get infected, kidneys will fail and they die much earlier. That's because Homeopathy is totally fake.

Core principle of homeopathy is to break the molecule by diluting the sustance. This is the system being follwed.

I had seviere nerve injury on my hand, it got cured by homeopathy.

Just like how people who are told they'll never walk again sometimes make a full recovery. If they took homeopathics and recovered the homeopath would attribute that to their medicine but it doesn't mean the homeopathics is actually what led to recovery
Everyone's organism works different. What doesn't work for one might work for the other. In case of an emergency I'm heading the the ER. For all other issues prefer to seek a holistic practitioner.
As a homeopath I would say that if you are in a car crash, go to the ER, not your homeopath ☺️

Why didn't you mention the most important part: cure? When people go to modern medicine with a complaint, they get treated and are free of the complaint and feel good about themselves, full of energy and vitality?

The major drawback against those articles you are talking about is that every article related to these medicines have very small patient count. Modern medicine undergoes double blind randomised case control clinical trials. And they undergo robust testing. Whereas all these homeopathic studies are suspicious because they lack the testing base. If you get it good. Otherwise not my duty to educate.😊

With the example given by him about the diabetic patient where he was consulting an ophthalmologist, diabetologist, psychiatric, etc, he is not recommended to go to a nutritionist for correcting the root problem at all i.e. obesity. That is the summary of allopathic medicine. You treat the symptoms and not causes
You people keep repeating this over and over again, but it's pretty much the opposite of what's true. If I get a bacterial infection the "allopathic" doctors would cure the cause with antibiotics. If I got appendicitis they would cure the cause by removing my appendix. A homeopath would just give me some inert sugar pills that might make my symptoms feel better through the placebo effect, but will do nothing to treat the cause.

The notion that modern medicine only treats symptoms and not causes is another thing quacks like to say, but it isn't true at all. Whenever possible it does seek to address the root cause. There are some diseases where the cause is not known, or where no effective treatment has been developed yet, and in those cases all that can be done is treat the symptoms. But whenever possible the cause is addressed. Your example about the diabetic patient is obviously wrong, I know several people with diabetes and they've all been told to address their eating habits and been referred to dieticians.

I don't know how much unscientific or placebo effects in homeopathy, but I feel it can treat some patients. I was having throat pain dryness issue since 2 weeks and was taking modern medicines but it was not subsiding. Later, I took homeopathy dilution and mother tincture and surprisingly it worked from the same day itself!!
So, let people name it placebo or whatever I don't care.

I'm a house surgeon, and I have many friends studying BAMS. You say that you study the same syllabus as MBBS however we both know that's not true. You only cover physiology anatomy microbiology pathology and the like in a highly superficial manner. Even allied health professionals and nurses study the same subjects in a superficial manner but that doesn't mean they're qualified to manage treatment of a patient. On top of that BAMS doesn't learn modern medicine pharmacology (even though it's far from perfect, has its foundations in molecular biology, cytology, physiology and genetics). The pharmacology you guys learn is based on concepts that is from an archaic time. The same time when nobody knew what gravity was and that people thought the sun revolved around the earth. Why do you cling on to such an ancient science that has not been verified or has gone through any revisions? The thing about modern medicine is that it's evidence based and it constantly gets updated and reviewed. We don't claim that our science as we know it at present is perfect. Far from it. We know there needs to be a lot of improvement and we know how much we don't know. But we make the effort to fill the gaps in our knowledge, unlike alternative medical practitioners who don't update their knowledge and still follow the science which existed 1000s of years ago. A lot of the things that people believed 1000+ years ago couldn't be proven and they were discarded. Alternative medicine is one of those very few fields where old "science" reigns supreme.

I happen to have a completely different issue with these alternative practitioners. The tall claims. Every single one I have visited claimed to be capable of eradicating the condition from its root...which they obviously couldn't (I mean...you can't just eradicate arthritis once it has set in)
Every modern medicine practitioner will inform you of all the possible outcomes of the proposed treatment plan before beginning. They'd never make claims like that.
So my lack of confidence in these homeopaths and ayurveds is because of their own failure to acknowledge the limitations of their practice.
If Homeopaths acknowledged all their limitations, then they will have to admit that literally nothing in Homeopathy works. Tall claims is all of Homeopathy.

Allopathy works for most but with side effects. Ayurveda works for some with few side effects. Homeopathy also works for some. Don’t ignore any of these methods - priority is to resolve issue not to be stubborn and blindly believe without trying.

Dr. Shantanu you visit once dr. Vijaykar camp in mahabaleshwar near your town vaie don't blame homoeopathy. Dr. Vijaykar and his student who cures Down syndrome, blindness with single dose of homoeopathy. Even today allopathy is same as Hahnemann time. Ur good allopathy but don't talk about science u don't have half knowledge in. Non of allopathy MD or DM cured disease like diabetes or hypertension just giving one two or three drug combinations to keep disease under control it for max24 hours.

Sir every medical system has its own limitations..i am a homoeopath practicing well in kolhapur, actually pateint come to me after taking all sorts of medicine and surgery in Allopathy. Please don't criticise any pathy everything goes hand in hand... Homoeopathy have cured lot many disease which allopathy couldn't do well leaving the patient in pain along with other side effects and disturbed mental health, wasted money on much more unnecessary investigation.Patient burst out with saying i wil die in home but not allopathy hurting treatment.And leave peacefully after homoeopathy treatment without the burden to take medicine till the end of his life....come on leave critising and accept the reality on the basic level...chill doctor allopath.👍🙏

Govt should impose ban on homeopathy permanently. For my skin disorder I approached more than 8 homeopaths but none found a solution. Finally i started allopathy and recovered fully. My strong advice is to not encourage homeopathy.

I tried searching it there but they never mentioned Ksharasutra. Its simply taking something from someone, doing some change and selling on your name.
