Great shots. I love the fact the faces are hidden or covered. Adds mystery and questions to the story. Your quote "I have to create art for myself, Because if I create for someone else, I think I'm doing myself a disservice." Real stuck home to me. New follower.
Really well done, a very inspiring creative artist. Really great how you share your thoughts, wisdom, etc along with beautiful photo/video artistry. How you present yourself in video/audio is relaxing and pulls us into your message and work.
You are one of thee videos I do not play in fast-forward. I take my time watching your videos just like how I take some time off when I listen to music and do nothing else but listen.
I really enjoyed this video! I fell out of love with photography a long time ago (probably around 5/6 years ago) some of your photos remind me of the way I used to enjoy framing (the way I used to enjoy creating my art) and I used to use a 70mm or 90mm lens rather than the more standard 35 or 50.
To each, his own. Perhaps due to shyness, my urban or street photography usually avoids human subjects - choosing instead, their structures or artifacts, signs, etc. In that way, the space included in the image can become the viewer's space or moment. This also avoids confrontation with human subjects.
TY! Short video? Long for me. Still not sure you were ready to make your point. That's OK. But we all had to watch you process that point in edited "real time" which was a bit long-ish. Fun pics! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! It can be difficult to put yourself out there when photography is such a subjective art form. Doubly so when you are approaching it your own way. Soon, I am going to make a video of my more commercial photography to contrast my more playful and experimental photography. Thanks for the subscribe!
Just subscribed to your channel.... what a fresh look on photography.... wonderful images... and ones that "you like" first are always the best.... but man... what a smooth buttery cream voice you have... Your future lies in voiceovers for sure... just watch this back and listen with your eyes shut.... your voice is sublime.... Keep the talking to camera going as you are a natural... for sure.... Take care... Yoki...
What you are explaining & doing really resonates with me. Your way of photographing individuals as part of the urban landscape is unique, effective & beautiful. Although I do enjoy traditional street photography, your way seems to be so much more full of depth & possibility! A fantastic presentation!
That's one thing I'm trying to work on, shooting through things, having something in the corner or side out of focus etc. I've always been a clean/landscape type of guy (Clinically clean/sharp/ composed perfect etc etc). I know if I can push on and keep practising it it will open up alot more to photograph/subjects
It's definitely something to practice. In filmmaking, it's something I'm very conscious of; shooting "dirty". But with photography your subject isn't always framed how you want.

Excellent video! Lots of insights. I feel vindicated. You have to make yourself happy with your photos first. Who knows, it may be art.
Really like your attitude and approach and what you say about art. Thank you😊
